A COMPLETELY NEW WAY FOR YOU TO HAVE YOUR SAY ON THE THINGS THAT MATTER TO YOU IN .

Use your voice and raise the issues that matter to you. We’ll make sure young people like you are listened to, because your opinion matters.

WE’RE THE PARLIAMENT FOR YOUNG PEOPLE IN WALES.

We’ll represent you and other young people like you in Wales.

We’ll work with the National Assembly for Wales to make sure your voice is heard by those with the power to make change in Wales.

Like the National Assembly for Wales, the Welsh Youth Parliament will be made up of 60 Members. You’ll elect 40 of them by voting in our election in November 2018. The remaining 20 will be elected by partner organisations.

Putting our parliament together this way will make sure we have representation from diverse groups of young people.

All 60 Welsh Youth Parliament Members will have equal status with the same roles and responsibilities. WE WILL:

EMPOWER WALES’ YOUNG PEOPLE TO GET IDENTIFY, RAISE AWARENESS OF AND INVOLVED, DEBATE THE ISSUES HAVE YOUR IMPORTANT TO YOU. LISTEN TO YOUNG PEOPLE IN WALES, SAY! REPRESENT YOUR VIEWS AND ACT JUST LIKE EVERY OTHER PARLIAMENT, ON THE ISSUES THE WELSH YOUTH PARLIAMENT WILL IMPORTANT TO YOU. BE SPLIT INTO TERMS. OUR TERMS LAST TWO YEARS. WORK WITH YOUNG Each term, 60 young people aged 11 up to the age of 18 will work together, looking at the issues PEOPLE IN WALES, that matter to you the most. AND SHARE WHAT WE’RE DOING WITH THE ISSUES YOU’VE RAISED. DECIDE WHO REPRESENTS YOU!

WALES IS BROKEN DOWN INTO 40 SMALLER AREAS CALLED CONSTITUENCIES. A CONSTITUENCY IS THE AREA WHERE YOU LIVE, WORK OR GET YOUR EDUCATION.

This constituency is your part of Wales. When you vote, you’re choosing the one person you want to represent you and your area.
