SUMMARY

Preparation of the LEAP for the municipality Gevgelija was conducted according the guidance based on a LAEP done for the community Trojan, Republic of Bulgaria. This pilot project was financed through the Institute for the Sustainable Communities by the US Agency for Environmental Protection ( US EPA), in collaboration with US AID. LEAP project for the municipality Gevgelija was accomplished in four stages: 1. Introducing LEAP into the municipality; 2. Public involvement; 3. Identification of the environmental priorities; 4. Development of the environmental action plan.
