What a week it has been for WGCFC with a 10-0 win for the first team in Mid-week followed by a magnificent 6-2 away win against Braintree Town for our U-18’s in the FA Youth Cup. Braintree Town’s 1st team play in the National league south. This being followed by a fine 3-0 away win at Kempston Rovers with goals from Toby Cleaver, George Ironton and Brodie Carrington, Brodie adding his first goal for the senior side in a competitive match to the hat-trick for the youth tea in the FA Cup and his brace in the U-23’s George Ironton receives a bottle of wine from friendly win also in mid-week. Not a bad haul for Brodie at Committee Member and Fixtures Secretary Mike all. Isaacs for winning the August Committee Player of the month We would like to welcome back Elliott Bailey to the club. The striker rejoins us from neighbours Hertford Town and helped himself to a hat-trick in his first game following his return in the 1st teams emphatic 10-0 friendly win against Herts County league side Sandridge Rovers last Tuesday. Fan’s may remember Elliot winning the Player of the Month award for March last season.

Also signing for us is powerful 19 yesr old Central Mid- fielder Ben Quarrington-Carter who lists Enfield Town and Wormley Rovers amongst his former clubs. Ben is currently at Harpenden Town on loan after missing 9 months of the year though knee and ankle injuries,. Welcome to the club.
