We are looking for people to help us on match days.

Could you just give us a hand getting the ground ready on match days or do you know someone who wouldn’t mind helping out in the tea bar?

If you think you have something to offer please don’t be shy, speak to one of our committee members around the ground. Many thanks

Flackwell Heath F.C. FlackwellCLUB Heath HISTORY • Club History Flackwell Heath FC was founded in 1907 and the club joined the High Wycombe and District League for its inaugural season. The Heathens proved to be a major force in local football, having won twelve Wycombe League championship titles and fourteen High Wycombe Senior Challenge Cup finals.

In the 1950’s Flackwell joined the Great Western Combination League and won this league twice before returning to the Wycombe League. In 1956 the club moved to its current home, the new ground being donated by the Wilks family.

Through the 60s and 70's the club continued their success on and off field and the new clubhouse was built in 1974 as the first stage of their rise into senior football. In 1975 The Heathens won the Berks and Bucks Intermediate Cup and the Reading Senior Cup. In 1977 the club achieved Senior status and moved up into the Hellenic League Division One. Promotion to the Premier Division was achieved at the first attempt. After five seasons in this league, during which time floodlights were installed at Wilks Park, Flackwell were elected into the Athenian League. In 1984 they joined the expanding . The clubs first season in this competition saw them playing in Division Two (North) and against some tough opposition they finished in a respectable eighth position. The following season Flackwell was switched to Division Two (South) where life turned out to be even tougher. At the end of season 1990-91, after finishing below mid-table, The Heathens found themselves placed in the newly formed Ryman League Division Three.

At this stage the club installed a 150 seater stand to stay in senior football, and new home changing rooms were built to comply with new ground gradings. For the next 10 years the club carried out further ground improvements and they established themselves in senior football.

In 2002/03 for the first time in their history Flackwell reached the 4th qualifying round of the FA Cup losing 4-1 at home against Crawley and finished third in the newly formed Ryman League Division Two, the highest position achieved to date.

In 2003/04 Flackwell won The High Wycombe Senior Challenge Cup for the twelfth time. In season 2004/05 The Heathens reached the 4th Qualifying Round of the FA Cup for the second time in three years, this time losing 3-0 at Ryman Premier Division Billericay Town and were runners-up in the Ryman League Associate Members Cup, losing 2-1 after extra time to Division Two champions Ilford on their own ground. The Veterans team won the FA Umbro Sunday Cup, lead by Byron Walton a feat which was repeated in 2006 and 2007. After winning the National final the lads went to The Bernabeu Stadium and played against Real veterans for the European Cup and lost by 3-1. Flackwell finished fourth in Ryman League Division Two in 2005/06, narrowly missing out on promotion. After the end of 2006/07 the FA reorganised the non-league pyramid and we were due to be relegated into the South Midlands Spartan League until Barking and East Ham United went out of business and we were given the opportunity to take their place in the Ryman Division One (North). Unfortunately we finished bottom of the league and were relegated into the Hellenic Premier Division for season 2008/09. In 2007/08 season we held our centenary game against Wycombe Wanderers with a crowd of 1300 watching Peter Taylors’s first game in charge at Wycombe. In our first season in the Hellenic League we finished in 9th position and lost 2-1 to Chalfont Wasps in the final of the High Wycombe Senior Challenge Cup at Adams Park. In 2010/11 we got to two cup finals nut both were lost on penalty shoot-outs, The Berks & Bucks Trophy to Newport Pagnell and the Reading Senior Cup to Newbury Town. The 2014/15 season saw us gain promotion into the Southern League Division 1. However, a late move by the Southern League of us from the Central Division into the South West Division meant FHFC were unable to accept promotion and we stayed in the Hellenic League Premier Division for season 2015-16. 2014-15 also saw us with places in the final of the Berks & Bucks Trophy (losing to Windsor FC) and the High Wycombe Senior Challenge Cup (winning against Penn & Tylers Green FC). Earlier that season we reached the fourth qualifying round of the FA Cup losing to Conference side Weston Supermare 4-1. For the first time in club history we also reached the last sixteen of the FA Vase losing 3-2 to Shaw Lane Aquaforce. 2015/16 season under the continued management of Graham Malcolm assisted by Paul Shone saw us finish 3rd in the Hellenic League also winning 3 cup finals – the Berks & Bucks Senior Trophy (against Newport Pagnell FC), the Uhlsport Challenge Cup (against Brackley Town Saints) and the Wycombe Senior Cup (against Pitstone and Ivinghoe FC). At the end of the season the manager Graham Malcolm resigned to pursue a life in Spain and his assistant Paul Shone was appointed the new manager to take the team through to the new season. Bracknell Town FC BrackCLUBnell Town HISTORY • Club History Bracknell Town Football Club was formed in 1896 as Old Bracknell Wanderers and changed its name to Bracknell F.C. in 1949.

The club played in the local leagues until joining the Great Western League in 1959. After four seasons in this league, and renaming the club Bracknell Town in 1962, the club was elected to the Surrey Senior League, which they won in 1969-70. The club also won the league cup in 1968-69 and 1969-70. After this success the club entered the Spartan League (later renamed the London Spartan League) and finished runners-up on goal average in 1975-76, in which they also reached the Fifth Round of the FA Vase. After winning the league in 1983, they were promoted in 1984 to the Isthmian League Division Two South. They were promoted to Division One as runners-up in 1985-86, finishing third in their highest ever league placing. However, in 1988-89, Bracknell Town was relegated and, following a re-organisation of the Isthmian League, were placed in Division Three in 1991-92.

They returned to the Isthmian League Division Two after winning the league in 1993-94, but after five seasons were relegated back down to Division Three. After another league re-organisation in 2002-03, the club was moved into the Isthmian League Division One South, but moved to the Southern Football League Division One West after two seasons. Bracknell were reprieved from relegation in 2008-09 but were relegated the following season to the Hellenic Football League Premier Division, and subsequently to Division 1 East at the end of the 2011/12 season.

Having won promotion back up at the first attempt, 2013/14 saw the Robins finish thirteenth in the Hellenic Football League Premier Division whilst they were runners up in the ‘Bluefin Sports’ Hellenic Supplementary Cup. A managerial change during 2014/15 season saw Keith Pennicott-Bowen take the helm and he steered his side to ninth place in the Hellenic League Premier Division, their highest ever placing as they also broke their record for points and victories in an Hellenic season. With the club struggling at the foot of the Hellenic League Premier Division the decision was made in November 2015 to replace Keith Pennicott-Bowen with Mark Tallentire. 'Tally’ is well known at Larges Lane having previously been a player, assistant manager and manager before he enjoyed a successful spell in the managerial seat at Binfield. He is a proven manager at this level of football and his ambition matches that of the club, he is exactly what the club needs at this time. Tally has appointed ex-joint manager Stephen Nebbett as his Assistant Manager. bluefin_bw.pdf 1 11/07/2014 11:35

K Flackwell Heath FC 1st Team – Hellenic Premier

Good evening all.

Firstly I’d like to say thank you to Terry and all of the committee on giving me this job. It’s a club that is deep in my heart and I can’t wait to see how the season unfolds.

We welcome an old manager and friend of mine Mark Tallentine with Bracknell here tonight, who over the summer have put together a strong squad on and off the field and will be up amongst the teams fighting for that top spot come May!!!

With this my 1st season in sole charge, I’ve added to my team

Sean Kelleher and Ben Hudell. Paul Shone – Manager Sean is a very good friend of mine for many years and with all his coaching knowledge, drive for the game, and the will to win, it was a no brainier getting him on board with me.

Ben joined us just a week before the start of preseason and I’m happy I waited and didn’t jump in with the 1st person I had a chat with because he’s also been a great addition. His will to win and hunger for the game makes him great to have as part of my management team.

I also can’t forget the man who doesn’t get much coverage but does so much for me and the boys and that’s Boney. So happy to have him with us again.

Preseason couldn’t have gone any better in my eyes. The sessions have been of top quality and high intensity and all players have put in great work and effort and taken on board what we are trying to do. I put together a tough fixture list because for me we need to be playing at a certain level week in week out if we are to be in the mix this season. We played Egham, Hayes & Yeading, Maidenhead, Kidlington, Windsor and Beaconsfield. All of which have given us a test in different ways.

I’ve added to the squad and lost a couple from last season. Out go Joel Jacobs and Ashleigh James both to Thatcham and Ryan Millward who can’t commit this season. I wish them all the best. Through the door comes Andrew Dean – Left back who loves to get on and with bags of pace will be a joy to watch this season. Dan Bayliss – Centre half and at 17 has a big future in the game, looking forward to seeing him develop over the season. Matty Stockill – Centre mid young kid who got recommend to me and has come in and looked very good. Looking forward to him playing in this side.

Jamie Essex – Centre mid. Hard working lad, technically very good on the ball. Gurkan Gokman – Right winger. Exciting wide man with good pace and delivery. Jamie West – Centre forward. Jamie rejoins us from Ascot, honest hard working and a hand full for any defender with 15-20 goals average each season. Jordan Dowdican – Centre forward, big and strong looking to compete for that No.9 shirt.

With so many teams putting together what looks like good sides, this season looks like the toughest it’s been in a good few years. Can’t see too many easy games, and that’s great for the League. Looking forward to a tough season and if we better last season we won’t be far off!!!

Enjoy the game and hope to see some of you back here on Saturday for our FA Cup game.

Cheers

Paul Shone (Shoney)

Just a quick introduction, I’m Mark Driscoll, better known as Tricky. I have stepped up from managing the youth team last season to the Reserves. Salvo stepped down to pursue other interests, but you will still see him around the ground supporting the club.

Well so far so good with the Reserves this preseason.

I’ve been looking forward to get back into the flow of things with the team and having Matt Rolfe join me was a massive plus this season.

There are a few new additions to the squad from last season, who have fitted in quite nicely and to have a few old faces back with the club is great.

Well, so far we’ve played 3 preseason friendlies, in the first game we took on Cookham Dean and won 3-1, a great performance from everybody, it was a very hot day and the team played at a very high tempo which showed they kept up there fitness between seasons.

The second game was away to Chalfont Wasps another great performance which ended in a 2-2 draw, and the third friendly was against Maidenhead Town at home which was a good game from everyone involved, we ended up winning 6-0 so things are looking rosie at the moment. We have another friendly on the 6th August away to Iver Heath but myself and Matt are trying to get another friendly squeezed in before we start our League campaign on the 13th August at home to Aston Clinton so please come along and give us the support and hopefully watch a good game.

Mark Driscoll (Tricky) Flackwell Heath FC Allied Counties – Division 2 East

Firstly I would like to introduce you to the new coaching team. With Mark Driscoll taking the step up to manage the Reserves we have bought in some new faces to help manage/coach the youth team. I have taken up the role of manager and I will be joined by Ed Henderson and Steve Small who will come in and help manage and coach the team along with Phil Przybylak who will continue to assist on match days.

Ed is a young man who is extremely keen. He successfully set up Wycombe Tigers FC, (a club that has two teams in the South Bucks Youth League) while still at school and is currently the Chairman of the club and Manager of the U18’s A team.

Steve is an ex non-league player who has played locally for Marlow and Windsor along with a host of other teams and has been coaching the youth of Downley Dynamos for a number of years.

After a pretty much non-existent preseason last season and a difficult start to the season it was important to get the ball rolling early this year. I had the coaching team in place by the end of June ready to start preseason on 5th July. We have all been busy trying to attract players to add to the talented crop that will continue from last season and with three weeks until the season starts we have 13 lads signed on and another 7 or 8 that will sign on, compare that to last season we only had 8 signed on 3 days before our first league match.

Despite these numbers it has proved difficult getting the lads all together at once, with holidays and work commitments the attendance at training has been good some days and poor on others. However most of the lads have now had their holidays and with the friendlies coming up I am expecting to see a marked improvement with numbers at training.

On Tuesday 26th July we took a squad of 16 over to Bracknell to play their Allied Counties team in our first friendly of the season. It was a very physical match (no such thing as a friendly) but a good workout none the less. There were many positives to come out of it as well as a few things to work on. Final score was 3 – 3, Sean Chivers (2), George Goode (1).

We continue our preseason on Wednesday 3rd August away to a Pro Football Academies team, we then travel to Uxbridge on 10th August and finally Binfield away on 17th August before we kick off our League campaign away to Hanwell Town on 24th August.

Our aims for the season are to try and play some good football and progress the boys, I would like to see as many boys playing for the reserves as possible with some knocking on the first team door at some point this season, and anything else will be a bonus.

Matt Bradley – Manager Who will you be today?
