16 July, 1981 Persuaded by all quarters Razaleigh is in! By ZAINAH ANWAR , Wed.— is defi- nitely staying on as Finance Min- ister under Datuk Seri Dr 's new Cabinet line-up. It is understood that Tengku Razaleigh has informed the incoming Prime Minister of his final decision. It has also been suggested that Datuk played a part in persuading him to stay on in the Cabinet. Party sources say Tengku Razaleigh's decision to stay on is largely based on persuasion from the top and from his sup- porters in Kelantan. New line-up In the heat of the fight fer the Number two position in Umno, Tengku Razaleigh had stated that he would leave the Cabinet if he lost the race to Datuk Musa. But sources now say Tengku Razaleigh has decided to put this aside and accept the Finance post again, because of over-riding pressure and support from all quarters for im to remain in the Cabinet. The new line-up to be announced on July 20 may see Foreign Minister Tengku Ah- mad Rithauddeen moving over to De- fence, while Youth, Culture and Sports Minister Datuk Mokhtar Hashim may take over at Wisma Putra. Datuk Seri Dr Mahathir is expected to retain his Trade and In- dustry portfolio. Datuk Musa Hitam who will be appointed the Deputy Prime Minister will also keep the Education Min- istry. The only Deputy Min- ister to be promoted to a full Minister is Datuk Ab- dullah Ahmad, who will move from Federal Ter- ritory to Youth, Culture and Sports. But a more major re- shuffle is expected at the deputy ministerial level.
