Directions to the Institute
Directions to the institute From the Graz International Airport (GRZ) to the Institute A taxi from the Graz international airport to the institute costs approx. 25 EUR. There are trains (S-Bahn no. 5) from the Graz airport (Train stop: Flughafen Graz-Feldkirchen) to the Graz main railway station (Train stop: Graz Hauptbahnhof), which runs every half an hour. From the Graz main railway station to the institute see below. There are less frequent buses (Bus 630) from the airport to the city centre (Bus stop: Graz Jakominiplatz). From Jakominiplatz to the institute you may walk about 10 minutes to the institute or take the tram no. 6 to the Neue Technik stop (see map below). From the Graz Main Railway Station (Graz Hauptbahnhof) to the Institute From the Graz main railway station (Tram stop: Graz Hauptbahnhof) you may take the tram no. 6 to the Neue Technik stop. Alternatively, you may take the tram no. 1, 3, or 7 to Jakominiplatz. From Jakominiplatz to the institute you may walk about 10 minutes to the institute or take the tram no. 6 to the Neue Technik stop (see map below). A single ticket which costs 2.10 EUR is valid for all public transport services within the Graz cen- tral tariff zone 101 (including the Graz airport) for one hour. URBAN SHARING URBAN in Amsterdam City report no 1 by in URBAN SHARING in Amsterdam City report no 1 by URBAN SHARING TEAM “Urban Sharing in Amsterdam” explores the landscape of the sharing economy in the city context. This research is a result of a Mobile Research Lab conducted by 7 researchers from Lund university in 2019. Specific focus is on three sectors: sharing of space, mobility and physical goods. For each sector, we discuss the drivers and barriers to the sharing economy, the associated sustainability impacts, the potential impacts on incumbent sectors, and the institutional context of sharing. Then, attention is turned to the role of the city council in engaging with the sharing TEAM SHARING URBAN economy and specific governance mechanisms employed by the city council are described. Since the sharing economy is not sustainable by default, urban sharing organisations, city governments and incumbents all have important roles to play in ensuring that the sharing economy positively impacts cities and their citizens. In the face of negative perceptions and possible impacts of the sharing economy, we may need to be more deliberate in thinking in terms of scaling the sharing economy to the size, needs, and capacities of cities. 2019: 1 Insights contained within this report may support the City of Amsterdam and other Sharing Cities, as well as urban sharing organisations and third-party actors in Amsterdam and beyond in their strategic work with the sharing economy for sustainability. Sakura (Cherry) trees which are the symbol of Spring were in full bloom on 24 March (Sunday) in Tokyo. Full bloom in Tokyo was ten days earlier than usual because of global warming?? April is the beginning of everything like school, business and the government in Japan. Entrance ceremony of elementary school, junior high school, high school, universities and colleges will be conducted in April. So will be the entrance ceremony of companies and governments. Sakura trees goes well with those entrance ceremonies as if they are celebrating the new start of schools, companies and governments. As a new start of fiscal year of 2013, I received a wonderful contribution from Mr. Wolfgang Gallistl, Managing Director of Scheduling Coordination Austria (SCA) featuring his organization and the airports they deal with. Schedule Coordination Austria (SCA) Schedule Coordination Austria (SCA) was founded in December 2002 as a private limited company according to the Austrian Company Law with the aim to coordinate and facilitate the schedules of commercial airlines, operating scheduled and charter flights to and from airports in Austria. SCA started operation in February 2003 after moving into the new office premises at Vienna Airport and setting up the IT environment based on a specific software application for coordination of airline schedules. In February 2003 SCA was nominated by the Austrian Federal Minister for Transport, Innovation and Technology (Decree 131/2003 of 11th February 2003) as schedule coordinator for all Austrian Airports, based on the 1 Regulation 95/93 of the European Union. -

Through my time in Delft, I learned that public transport and airports is a complex combination. Therefore, I wanted to investigate this topic in more detail. Almost everybody uses air travel nowadays. Since nobody lives at the airport itself, the trip towards the airport is almost as important as the air trip itself. Making this so called “land-side” trip as easy and comfortable as possible, the responsible companies need to offer suitable means of transport. From my own experience, it became clear that what I think is comfortable, is for another person not comfortable at all. This was my inspiration to start my thesis research on the subject “public transport towards airports”.
