YAGRS ASSOCIATION GUEST LOG The procedure for searching the guest log is slightly different depending on which browser you use. Doing a search will allow you to quickly find every entry for your ship or allow you to search for an individual. ............................................................................................................................................ FIREFOX BROWSER First put the mouse at the very top of the browser and right click the mouse. Make sure MENU BAR is checked. Mouse click it if it is not checked. Click on EDIT at the top of the browser. On the drop down menu click FIND. Then type in the empty white box what you want to search for like WATCHMAN You can now click NEXT or click ENTER to see all the WATCHMAN entries. ............................................................................................................................................ I was stationed on the USS Searcher Jan. 63 - Aug. 64. We were the ones that lost the screw and were adrift for three days in the "perfect storm" before the Coast Guard rescued us. 3. Assigned to the deck crew. Loved it when we caught that northern station and we had to chip ice off the decks with a fire ax and get some red lead on the deck before it froze back over. You have done a fine job on it To update, I was assigned to Searcher as CIC Officer from 7-11/56;, relieving LT jg Bruder, Cross decked to USS Wyandot(AKA 92) at Davisville to fill requirement for Air Controller and CIC/Electronics O. for Operations DeepFreeze II&III in Antarctica. Taught at Annapolis after that, and then went to tin cans, and commanded Coastal and Riverine Forces in Vietnam. Retired in 82. Surprised to see omission of LCDR Arthur J Meyers USN, as CO 7/56-1/57 on the officers list !! He took ship out of yard after the fire, until retired on a medical in '57 12. I then went to the U.S.S. Blandy DD-943. She was a real ship with a fine crew that all worked together 20.
