In the landscape area Pisciotta autcrops the arenaceous-conglomeratic succession of Group of in discordance with the formations of North-Calabrian Unit (calcareous-marly-pelitic). Within Pisciotta landscape 6 individuals geological sites were surveyed: the main geosite is Rizzico Frana, an example of educational and scientific landslide in flysch soils. There are in addition strati- graphic geosites interests: the Series type of formation and his paleo environmental significance of Punta Telegarfo; the historic village of Pisciotta with outcrop of basal conglomerates with clasts of lime- stone of Torrent Bruca formation; the pyramids of land (Castelluccio); Olistoliti to Inoceramus in Torrent Bruca formation (S. Nicholas); the outcropping of clastic limestone lithofacies of Liguride Unit about 50 millions years ago (Catona).
