SUPREME COMMANDER .....................................................Mark Reeve ACTIVE MUSE.............................................................................Lucinda Opal PRINTER’S DEVIL..................................................................Susan Shayler CONTACT REEVISM [email protected] SPOOK PRESS THE MINIMALIST PAGE Just as sex may be at the end of a strange handshake, all serious creative works deserve some kind of introduction, so here one is. Please take the time to read it, as you will learn what the current score is and what is planned for later, that could be very big. EDITORIAL REEVISM HAS BEEN established to both showcase and prom- ote the work of the self-taught British creative Mark Reeve, who also edits and produces the publication, and is writing this, so he’ll switch from third to first person, although I’m never really ‘me’ or really ‘here’, and neither are you, for we all live in a myriad of subjective and objective worlds simultaneously, and that’s just the start of it. Consensus reality (which, if you look at it critically, is actually a nonsensical concept) is the greatest ever trick the Remote Controllers have pulled so far, and as the English myst- ical painter, Cecil Collins, once remarked: “Rationalism is the suburbia of the universe”. Perception = Anything that can be perceived, and perception can be expanded simply by working with it. The true believers give no thought to believing, like savages or sorcerers; the others (priests, intellectuals, etc.) discover what they believe, for they are mere cooks of certitude, unaware that a pebble dropped from the sky doesn’t always fall to the ground. I take the position that behind the conscious mind is the much more vast other reser- voir that is Supermind, where all creativity comes from; the conscious mind is but the amp- lifier, the tool to realise what is made or found in the Supermind, that can be manifested on the physical plane by verbal affirmation and pictorial visualisation coupled with action (but don’t say “I want” this, etc., as it merely affirms your lack of the thing and your inability to obtain it. Instead say “I have”, and act as if you have already obtained it). If the insane stage-play continues with the wrongly-possessed at the helm it will lead to what JG Ballard predicted: a boring “eventless future” where nothing happens, or even wor- se, an endless re-run of fake events. Although some people become more interesting in bor- ing surroundings, so there could be some curious new mutations if they embrace the night- mare? “Where there’s a will there’s a way...”, and I know which side I’m on. This pilot issue of my cultural erection has been issued as a free PDF, to give readers some idea of what they’re in for. It mostly contains my already published (sometimes revis- ed and expanded) material dating back to 2013, along with a guest article sourced from Mr Nightlight that I have compiled and edited, plus two choice found items on effective spell- casting, Reassurance Therapy and the placebo phenomenon, etc. All future issues will sole- ly consist of my new, previously unpublished work and shall be in the hardcopy format, available in exchange for cash. The general theme of Reevism is “normal anomaly”, i.e. my longtime ongoing obsession with, and firsthand experiences of, the occult, conspiracy, alien/UFO plus relevant related fields. When researching these I tend to go in-depth and use psychic methods to obtain in- formation, hence the writing can get a bit out-there. It is what it is, and I now merge back into the shadows, to let my creations take over. A compilation of proven to be helpful and effective techniques that Mark Reeve has discovered from a wide variety of source fields during his intensive researches, including some of his own ideas for as-yet untested projects. COLLECTED ESOTERIC TIPS FIRST OF ALL, get yourself right, and ready: build a solid, reli- able foundation on which to build. Do regular physical and mental exercise (the martial arts are an ideal combination of these, as is walking meditation). Your plan is not to waste energy battling against negative and/or useless habits, but rather to gain energy by replacing them with positive/ useful ones. It is cognate with exorcism, where it is crucial to not just expel the demon but to replace it with something more powerful, otherwise ten or more demons worse than the original one will return to occupy the vacuum. Focus and Persist. REALITY WORKS VIA contracts, pacts, agreements and bindings on a number of levels, some of which you may not be aware of. To regain your power and your own control over your life, say out loud, clearly, that you renounce and annul all such transactions with any entities, that you have made knowingly, unknowingly, or by deception. (If you are appro- ached in future with any offers—especially to re-agree to former, broken agreements—con- sider them, and their promoters, very carefully.) BEGIN EACH DAY by connecting to the ‘spiritual’ (i.e. the higher and wiser part of yourself and reality). The easiest way is by formal meditation or contemplation. This sets up your entire day and all days afterwards, and makes you constantly aware, both consciously and subconsciously, that there is something beyond the mundane. Keep it up and you may find that events normally out of your control will line up helpfully for you. EVERY NIGHT BEFORE sleep, banish any negativity. Imagine the Sun beaming a golden or white lightbeam down through the top of your head into your heart. Let the light fill your heart, then the whole inside of your body. Then project it outwards to create a protective aura all around you, about ten inches from your body. When this is done, imagine the out- side edge of this auric shield is further strengthened by a mirror, its silver side facing out- wards. Be firm but non-hostile, and reflect all evil back to its sender by saying something like: “Any negativity sent to me I send back in the most positive way”. CONSIDER THE TEACHING: “When we are asleep we are awake. When we are awake we are asleep”. Then determine when your deepest sleep point is. Get up at this time and just be. Don’t try to do or think anything, just see what happens. If you happen to register any interesting and/or unusual impulses, suggestions, etc., then perform them perhaps. (This is an easy way to break out of your normal routine pattern and enter an altered state of con- sciousness [ASC], that gives new insights and further ideas. If you want to progress along the esoteric path it is essential to enter varied ASCs.) REEVISM VOLUME I NUMBER I 4 BUY A GOOD quality, very accurate alarm clock, without haggling. Designate exactly 1 hour each day (preferably the same hour) for the “Magic Hour”, that is solely reserved for your- self only. No interruptions (from family, friends, telephones, etc.) are allowed. Do some- thing interesting and/or unusual in this hour. (You may like to previously assign certain actions to each side of a dice, or to each number of a roulette wheel and let chance decide what you will investigate.) THOUGHT-FORMS CAN become life-forms. Study how your own created and/or entertain- ed mental matrixes are alive and controlling you. Change this process for the better, to your advantage. Kill and Birth. THERE IS THIS world, and the otherworld. To perceive the otherworld, change your per- ception until the otherworld is revealed. This trick is easily done through trance or dream. Better still, combine these. Lay comfortably in bed, just before and/or after sleep, as the dream-state stirs or lingers. Don’t move and don’t think, apart from willing the otherworld to appear. It shall, in your mind’s eye, or more concretely. YOUR SPIRIT OR soul or subconscious or guardian angel or DNA, etc., knows all, or at least knows best, so meditate on and link to this entity; ask it questions. You will always receive a helpful answer if you are sincere. If you ignore this entity, then this entity will assume that you are not interested, and probably not provide assistance. (Spirit guides and protect- ors can also include your ancestors and animals.) GO ON A Wisdom Quest, alone, anywhere, but preferably in the sacred landscape. Remain there for a long period, at least one day and night, without distractions. Ask for visions. Maybe ask for a cosmic wisdom download. Trance Out | Trance In, but remain constantly aware on all levels so that you can recognise what is shown to you. YOU DON’T GET anything for nothing. If you join a group, befriend an angel or demon, etc., it will help you then try to control you, totally if allowed.

Lusty University of Nevada, Las Vegas While metalheads around the world embrace the engaging storylines of their favorite songs, the influence of canonical literature on heavy metal musicians does not appear to have garnered much interest from the academic world. This essay considers a wide swath of canonical literature from the Bible through the Science Fiction/Fantasy trend of the 1960s and 70s and presents examples of ways in which musicians adapt historical events, myths, religious themes, and epics into their own contemporary art. I have constructed artificial categories under which to place various songs and albums, but many fit into (and may appear in) multiple categories. A few bands who heavily indulge in literary sources, like Rush and Styx, don’t quite make my own “heavy metal” category. Some bands that sit 101 Lusty, “Rocking the Canon” LATCH, Vol. 6, 2013, pp. 101-138 on the edge of rock/metal, like Scorpions and Buckcherry, do. Other examples, like Megadeth’s “Of Mice and Men,” Metallica’s “For Whom the Bell Tolls,” and Cradle of Filth’s “Nymphetamine” won’t feature at all, as the thematic inspiration is clear, but the textual connections tenuous.1 The categories constructed here are necessarily wide, but they allow for flexibility with the variety of approaches to literature and form. A segment devoted to the Bible as a source text has many pockets of variation not considered here (country music, Christian rock, Christian metal).

Military History Anniversaries 16 thru 31 August Events in History over the next 15 day period that had U.S. military involvement or impacted in some way on U.S military operations or American interests Aug 16 1777 – American Revolution: Battle of Bennington » The Battle took place in Walloomsac, New York, about 10 miles from its namesake Bennington, Vermont. A rebel force of about 1,500 men, primarily New Hampshire and Massachusetts militiamen, led by General John Stark, and reinforced by Vermont militiamen led by Colonel Seth Warner and members of the Green Mountain Boys, decisively defeated a detachment of General John Burgoyne's army led by Lieutenant Colonel Friedrich Baum, and supported by additional men under Lieutenant Colonel Heinrich von Breymann at Walloomsac, New York. After a rain-caused standoff, Brigadier General John Stark's men enveloped Baum's position, taking many prisoners, and killing Baum. Reinforcements for both sides arrived as Stark and his men were mopping up, and the battle restarted, with Warner and Stark driving away Breymann's reinforcements with heavy casualties. The battle reduced Burgoyne's army in size by almost 1,000 troops, led his Indian support to largely abandon him, and deprived him of much-needed supplies, such as mounts for his cavalry regiments, draft animals and provisions; all factors that contributed to Burgoyne's eventual defeat at the Battle of Saratoga. Aug 16 1780 – American Revolution: Continentals routed at Battle of Camden SC » American General Horatio Gates suffers a humiliating defeat. Despite the fact that his men suffered from diarrhea on the night of 15 AUG, caused by their consumption of under-baked bread, Gates chose to engage the British on the morning of the 15th.

From that moment, O’Neill’s association with Bond was made: an enduring legacy that has carried through to the era of Daniel Craig. It was O’Neill who captured gritty and roguish pictures of Connery on set, and it was O’Neill who framed the super-suave Roger Moore in Live and Let Die. His images of Honor Blackman as Pussy Galore are also important, celebrating the vital role of women in the James Bond world. But it is Terry O’Neill’s casual, on- set photographs of a mischievous Connery walking around the casinos of Las Vegas or Roger Moore dancing on a bed with co-star Madeline Smith that show the other side of the world’s most recognisable spy. Terry O’Neill opens his archive to give readers - and viewers - the chance to enter the dazzling world of James Bond. Lavish colour and black and white images are complemented by insights from O’Neill, alongside a series of original essays on the world of James Bond by BAFTA-longlisted film writer, James Clarke; and newly-conducted interviews with a number of actors featured in O’Neill’s photographs.
