Meadows Art Connections Patricia Meadows is best known for her support of living, regional artists, her love of the visual arts, and her expertise in placement and installation of both indoor and outdoor artwork. She has had experience in nearly every facet of the visual art world except owning a commercial gallery or working for a museum. She started as a painter, but her career took her to the administrative side as director, curator, juror, advocate, and advisor. She has co-founded and supported numerous organizations such as the Dallas Visual Art Center and the Emergency Artists Support League. She has organized and curated hundreds of exhibitions, nationally, statewide and locally, and has served as juror for shows throughout Texas. She has served on the board of directors, chaired, and advised countless committees for museums, and national, state, and local art organizations. She has been appointed by the governor and several mayors, through the years, to serve on boards and committees regarding the development of the arts, Uptown, and the Arts District. But, she says she is happiest when she is directing the installation of artwork – particularly big, cumbersome outdoor sculpture – which she has been doing for the past 20 years. It was her job and pleasure to organize and direct the placement of more than 300 works of art for Hall Office Park in Frisco, as well as the Texas Sculpture Walk for Hall Arts in the Dallas Arts District. Today, as president of her company, Art Connections, she consults with both corporate and private collectors regarding acquisitions, placement, installation, and maintenance of their art collections.
