He is part of the hall of fame's first class in nine years. Born and raised in Gainesville, House began competing in sprint canoe/kayak at a young age and de- veloped into one of the best in the United States. House was named National Canoe/Kayak Male Ath- lete of the Year, traveling the world while competing in the U.S. Nation- al Championships, Pan-American Games, World Cup and the U.S. Sprint Team Trials.
