The Rotary Club of Hemet will be participating in a Drive-Thru Food Drive at the Valley Community Pantry from 10-1pm on May 22nd. If you are not able to volunteer for this event, please ask your family and friends to donate to the pantry through the Rotary Club of Hemet. The pantry is 45,000 pounds below their normal donations for the year, and we hope that this event will produce that amount and more! When I first joined Rotary, I was immediately put in charge of organizing a Club 5 event. We traveled out to San Bernardino to watch the Inland Empire 66ers minor league baseball team take on the Lake Elsinore Storm. We invited other clubs, had a catered meal, and our own section to sit in. The entire event turned out awesome, so we are going to do it AGAIN! This time we are going to head out to Lake Elsinore and watch the same match up. For $30, each club member (family is also invited at an additional cost) will enjoy an ALL-YOU-CAN-EAT BBQ meal. We will be sitting in the patio seating along the 3rd base line. We will also have access to the Tap Room. This will be my last meeting of the year as your President. I hope you can come out to the ballpark and enjoy a great game with some great Rotarians. The game starts at 6:35 pm! Please respond to this email if you would like to attend the District Conference, if you would like to purchase a club polo, if you can volunteer for the Food Drive, and if you would like to attend the Storm Game!
