S’il fallait des chiffres pour s’en convaincre, regardons ceux de cette 15e édition : 150 exposants privés et 10 exposants institutionnels présenteront leurs savoir-faire, notamment dans les domaines innovants. Incontestablement, succès et dynamique sont au rendez-vous. C’est bien sûr grâce à l’investissement des deux organisateurs historiques, la Chambre de commerce et d’industrie (CCI) Paris Ile-de-France et la Structure intégrée du maintien en condition opérationnelle des matériels terrestres (SIMMT), pour diversifier et attirer des partenaires de plus en plus nombreux. Cette année, le groupement des industries françaises de défense et de sécurité terrestres et aéroterrestres (GICAT) s’associe à l’organisation. Le GICAT participe au FED comme exposant depuis plusieurs années. Pour cette édition il fédère l’action de ses 40 adhérents présents et organise avec les experts de sa commission Soutien et Services (C2S), en appui de la SIMMT, deux conférences sur les grands enjeux de la maintenance future : le maintien des compétences et l’apport des nouvelles technologies. L’enjeu est de taille pour le Maintien en Condition Opérationnelle (MCO) terrestre. L’impact de plus en plus important des opérations sur les matériels, la modernisation et la diversité des générations d’équipements à soutenir, la recherche de la performance de la maintenance industrielle sont autant de facteurs qui nécessitent un partenariat de plus en plus étroit et innovant entre les acteurs étatiques et privés. Dans cette optique, la CCI Paris Ile-de-France, au service des entreprises, s’investit pour les PME de la filière « Défense » en leur donnant l’opportunité de renforcer leurs liens et leurs activités avec les grands donneurs d’ordre publics et privés. Ce soutien favorise également le partage de réflexions prospectives sur les nouvelles technologies et leur influence sur le MCO en identifiant les compétences à maintenir et à développer au sein des PME. De nombreux partenaires institutionnels s’associent à cette manifestation comme notamment la DGA, la SIMMAD ou encore la délégation aux réserves de l’armée de Terre. Ce large panel permettra de présenter les réalités industrielles, techniques, organiques et opérationnelles du MCO des matériels terrestres tout en valorisant les relations entre les armées et les industriels au sein desquels les PME jouent un rôle déterminant.     KNDS records another successful business year Amsterdam, 14 June 2021 The defence technology group KNDS, in which Krauss-Maffei Wegmann (Germany) and Nexter (France) merged to form the leading European company for military land systems, ammunition and related services, has presented its key figures for fiscal year 2020. In 2020, the group achieved remarkable results in an unprecedented context due to the Covid crisis, thus demonstrating its robust business model, its resilience and its strong economic and financial position. With 3,3 billion euro of order intake, the consolidated order backlog grew to a record 10.6 billion euro. Major orders were the midlife upgrade for the 322 FENNEK vehicles of the Netherlands Army, 24 LEGUAN bridge layers for the German Bundeswehr, 42 JAGUAR, 271 GRIFFON, and 364 SERVAL vehicles related to the SCORPION program, as well as support and services activities for the French army, and CAESAR guns for a new export customer. The group generated 2,4 billion euro of revenue, while its workforce grew to 8,270 employees. “In 2020, we met or exceeded all our commercial targets,” said Frank Haun, CEO of KNDS, in assessing the company’s performance. “In addition, Nexter and KMW are integrating faster and more strongly to become the joint pacesetter for key innovations in the field of military land systems.
