The Story

The human stories rise above everything else in One Born Every Minute: the relationship between mothers and their birth partners and the enduring emotional power of the moment when new life beings is all captured in intimate detail. From the reception desk to the labour ward, from the operating theatre to the birthing pool, the dramatic, tender and often funny moments that go hand in hand with bringing a baby into the world are observed – both from the perspective of the soon-to-be parents and family as well as the hospital staff.

One Born Every Minute is focused on providing helpful insights into the realities of giving birth, especially in a hospital environment. The intimate footage gives anyone thinking of having children a unique inside view of what it is really like when life begins.
