Photography was my passion and now I wanted to pursue it as a career. Humber, with their expert faculty, modern labs, devices that meet the industry standards and multiple resource centres, was exactly the kind of college I was looking for; I wanted to learn from the very best. As part of my program at Humber, I also decided to go to Otago Polytechnic in New Zealand for a summer abroad experience. The idea of gaining academic credits while travelling sounded like a perfect summer plan to me. It was a chance to meet students from around the world and learn the cultural history of the country. I gained valuable Canadian experience by working as a Global Learning Student Ambassador and also as a photographer for the Humber Hawks. Both jobs provided me with a mix of skills and experiences that I can add to my resumé, which is going to be very useful for my future employment. When I look back to my first day on campus and remember how overwhelmed I was, I feel fortunate to have come this far with the support of many, including my peer mentor. I have so many new friends now and have expanded my network by getting to know new people in the industry. Watch why each year 6,500 international students from 130+ countries choose Humber College tinyurl.com/HumberGlobalStudentStories 4 HUMBER INTERNATIONAL VIEWBOOK 2021| 2022 Toronto: Canada’s International City Toronto is one of the world’s most multicultural cities and it’s a welcoming place for everyone who visits, lives and studies here.
