Both institutions have long-standing traditions of excellence in nursing education in Canada. As a UNB-Humber Nursing student, you will attend your undergraduate degree education at Humber in Toronto. Upon successful completion, you will receive a Bachelor of Nursing degree from the University of New Brunswick. Highlights Our curriculum focuses on the nurse’s role in Community / public health, primary health-care and acute-care settings. The program includes many hours (1400) of clinical/field practice where you will have the opportunity to put your nursing skills and knowledge to work in a supervised setting. Small class sizes of 35 - 40 students means you will get both individual and group learning opportunities. Your clinical experiences will be diverse and cover a broad range of settings including community agencies, schools, long-term care facilities and hospitals. The goal is to gain a better understanding of each different perspective in order to enhance patient care Admission Requirements Selection: The “pathway” program for RPNs to enter UNB – Humber BN Admission selection is based on the academic criteria indicated. Collaborative Program provides vocational mobility and professional advancement through life-long learning. Meeting minimum eligibility requirements does not guarantee admission. Admission Requirements To be eligible for admission, you must possess the following: . Admission restricted to graduates of the Humber College or Seneca College Practical Nursing Diploma Program with a 74% or higher cumulative program GPA. Successful completion of the Canadian Practical Nursing Registration Exams (CPNRE) and registration in good standing with College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO) . Bridging courses are delivered over 7 months, three university level courses for each session followed by Year 3 and Year 4 of the UNB – BN program . Each course in the Bridging semesters requires a 74% minimum grade .
