Coordinator, Acquisitions and Print Resources Cataloging And Database Maintenance and Authority Control September, 2005-December 2008 DUTIES: Supervise Acquisitions, Paying, and Receiving department, which orders and pays for all materials for the library, print and electronic. Supervise the Cataloging section of the library responsible for all titles in non-Ibero languages. Supervise the Database Maintenance and Authority Control operation of the library. Head, Serials Cataloging and Electronic Resources Section September 1994 to September 2005, 50% DUTIES: Perform original and copy AACR2 cataloging of serial titles in all formats using LC classification and subject headings for input in OCLC and Innopac; Authority work for series and corporate authors; Supervise the Serials Cataloging Section currently consisting of three catalogers. Responsible for developing workflow and procedures for cataloging and maintenance of electronic resources, and main electronic resources cataloger. Head, Database Management and Authority Control Section September 1999 to 2008 (50% until 2005) DUTIES: Supervise the operations of the local database management section, which consists of 10 staff; Introduce, write, revise, and implement procedures dealing with all aspects of database management in the local Innovative Interfaces online catalog consisting of item and authority record creation and maintenance, as well as physical processing; Perform global updates to headings; With the help of technical staff, implement record dataloads for aggregators and other vendor-purchased records; Initiate projects which enhance the use of the online catalog; Oversee database cleanup operations; Supervise a portion of receiving operations which will include shelf-ready books.
