© TLA Worldwide 2020 TLAWorldwide.com BIO Bancroft grew up in Leeming, a southern suburb in Perth and studied at Aquinas College where he became of the First XI team. Bancroft played underage cricket for WA in U17s and U19s and debut in first grade for Willetton Cricket Club as a 17-year-old where he made his first First Grade ton in the opening round of the 2010/11 season.

In 2012 Bancroft made his domestic one-day debut against Tasmania and a week after that, played his first Sheffield Shield game against . 2012 also saw Bancroft selected in the Australian under-19 World Cup team ahead of the Queensland-based tournament where he was Australia’s second highest run scorer. The 2014/15 season was Bancroft’s coming of age in which he made three tons, including his first double hundred, at an average of 47. After an incredible batting display against the Aussie bowling attack at Hurstville Oval and a double ton a week later against South Australia, Bancroft was selected in the 2017/18 Ashes, which saw him post an unbeaten 82 in his second innings in Brisbane and play all five Tests in that series. Bancroft received a 9-month ban from international and domestic cricket in Australia for his part in the scandal in South Africa in 2018. Upon his return, Bancroft found form for the Perth Scorchers in the BBL, Western Australia in Shield Cricket, and Durham in English County cricket which saw him named in Australia’s squad for the in England in which he played the opening two Test matches.

Bancroft’s interests outside of cricket are golf, yoga and meditation. On the back of these interests he has started a business with some other professional cricketers called Gritfull which is about making a difference to young people through positive wellbeing activities.
