Vintage Market on Broad Street & Comes to Marion, Virginia Saturday, October 6, 2018

8:00 am – 11:00 am Heirloom Seed Swap If you collect heirloom seeds, then bring them to the Marion Farmer's Market for a seed swap. Bring the seeds you have plenty of and swap for seeds that you don't have. Please label the seeds and include what you know about the source. Enjoy the market while you're there!

10:00 am – 5:00 pm Vintage Market on Broad Street Broad Street will be closed to traffic and lined with vintage and antique vendors, hand crafted and hand-made artisans. Interested in being a vendor? There is still room for you at our sale! Call 276-783-3161.

10:00 am – 5:00 pm Antique Tractor Display The Iron Mountain Antique Tractor Club will have several antique tractors and engines on display. Now that's what we call agri-"culture!"

10:00 am – 5:00 pm Opie’s Corner Kids Activities We will have free activities and crafts to make and take home available for children!

11:00 am – 5:00 pm Cruise In! Bring your antique and vintage cars to show off. All cruise-in cars must enter Broad Street through Lee Street between 10 am-11 am. There will be a 50/50 raffle and door prizes for all who bring in a vintage vehicle.

11:00 am – 12:00 pm Appalachian Hoedowners We are excited to have the Appalachian Hoedowners clogging team performing. From Crockett Virginia, this group is sure to have you tapping your toes!

12:00 pm – 5:00 pm Mayberry Tribute Artists The Mayberry Sherriff’s squad car will be on Broad Street along with several Mayberry tribute artists. Look for the following artists: David Browning as The Mayberry Deputy, Phil Fox as Ernest T. Bass, Allen Newsome as Floyd the Barber, Jeff Branch, Howard Spraig, Kenneth Junkin as Otis, Christie McClendon as Charlene Darling,

and Bob Mundy as Briscoe Darling.

1:00 pm – 3:00 pm Hot Trail Mix The Town of Marion is hosting a FREE concert for the community! Hot Trail Mix is an innovative new Bluegrass band out of the Asheville/Boone NC area. The band has a rowdy youthful vigor that excites audiences of all ages, shapes and sizes!

2:00 pm Radio Flyer Parade Ages 12 and under can join in on this "just for fun" parade. We will meet at 1:45 on Broad street, near Lee Street. Bring a wagon, tricycle, pedal car, toy tractor and join in this fun event. Best of all, the children who participate will receive a free ice cream coupon from Hester's Country Store and Fudgery good for that day!

3:00 pm The Show Trivia Contest Are you a Mayberry expert? Come and prove it at our Andy Griffith Show Trivia Contest! The winner will receive two tickets to the sold-out Song of the Mountains Concert that evening courtesy of The Lincoln Theatre.

4:00 pm Mayberry Look-Alike & Vintage Dress Contest Prizes (to be announced) awarded for the following: Best Mayberry Look-Alike, Best Vintage Costumes for female, male, and child. For vintage costumes, any period costuming is eligible. Judges will be looking for authenticity and completeness. No risqué dress, as this is a family fun event.

7:00 pm Song of the Mountains Concert Live at the historic Lincoln Theatre: Rodney Dillard & , (Charlene Darling), the Maybery Deputy (David Browning), Tim White & The VW Boys. This show is sold out.
