Matchday 36 TIM 2019-20 24 - 26 July 2020 MILAN vs ATALANTA Atalanta have shared 42 draws with AC Milan – more than against any other Serie A TIM opponent, losing 51 times against the Rossoneri and winning 24. After winning the reverse fixture 5-0 back in December, Atalanta could win both games against AC Milan in a single Serie A TIM season for the first time since 2007/08. Atalanta’s last win against AC Milan in the second half of the season was in 2016 under . AC Milan have won only one of their last seven home meetings against Atalanta (D3 L3), failing to score in five of those games. Atalanta have scored 95 goals in their 35 games played so far this season, an average 2.7 per game – should they maintain this average, they would end on 103 goals, which would be their best goal scoring performance in Serie A TIM since 1950/51. Since the return of Serie A TIM in June, Atalanta and AC Milan are the two teams with the highest points per game on average (2.6). Atalanta manager has an identical record of seven wins, seven draws and seven losses against AC Milan as a manager in Serie A TIM. AC Milan striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic has been directly involved in five goals in his last four Serie A TIM appearances against Atalanta, scoring four and assisting another. Should he assist in this match, Hakan Calhanoglu could become the first AC Milan player to record an assist in four consecutive Serie A matches since Opta started their data collection in 2004-05. Luis Muriel (18) and Duván Zapata (17) have scored 35 goals combined this campaign, equalling Atalanta’s most prolific attacking pairs - 35 also from Ilicic and Zapata in 2018/19 and Sørensen & Hansen in 1949/50.

BRESCIA vs PARMA Brescia and Parma have met 19 times so far in Serie A TIM – the Ducali lead by 11 wins to four (D4). Brescia won two games against Parma back in 1998, before winning only two of their following 13 meetings against the Ducali (D4 L7). Brescia have won their last two home games against Parma, after they had won only one of the previous seven (D2 L4). Since the restart of Serie A TIM, Brescia have won two of their four home games; one more than they had won this season prior to the competition being halted. Parma have lost their last three away games in the league – their worst run since February 2015. Brescia have already been relegated to – nine of their 13 relegations to Serie B have been as newly promoted-side. Brescia have conceded the most goals from set-pieces (25) - as well as the most goals following a cross (18, incl. corners) - in Serie A TIM this season. Alfredo Donnarumma has been directly involved in the last three goals scored by Brescia at home in Serie A TIM, just one fewer than he had this season prior to this run (4). Parma striker Andreas Cornelius has been directly involved in eight away goals in Serie A TIM in 2020 (five goals and three assists) – no player has had a hand in more in this period. Five of Gervinho’s seven goals in Serie A TIM this season have been scored away from home, however he has yet to score away from home since the competition resumed.

GENOA vs INTER Genoa and Inter have met 105 times in Serie A TIM, with the Nerazzurri winning 54 of these meetings (29 draws and 22 defeats). The last draw between Genoa and Inter in the league was in May 2013 (0-0 at the Ferraris) – since then, the Nerazzurri lead by eight wins to five. Inter have won their last three league games against Genoa by an aggregate score of 13-0.

Genoa have kept a clean sheet in five of their last seven home meetings against Inter, losing only one of those games (W5 D1). Genoa have won their last two home games, while they last won three league games in a row at home in September 2018. Inter have collected 37 points away from home in Serie A TIM this season – the best away record in the competition (W11 D4 L2). Inter manager is unbeaten in his seven previous meetings against Genoa in Serie A TIM (W4 D3). Genoa striker Goran Pandev scored five goals in his 46 Serie A TIM appearances for Inter between 2009-10 and 2010-11. He has netted four goals against Inter in the competition, with those coming while playing for Lazio and Genoa. Inter’s Roberto Gagliardini has scored five goals in seven league appearances against Genoa; his most against a single opponent in Serie A TIM. Inter striker Romelu Lukaku (currently on 21 goals) could equal Diego Milito and Amedeo Amedei for most goals scored in a debut Serie A TIM season for Inter (both 22), however they still trail Stefano Nyers (26) and Ronaldo (25).

NAPOLI vs SASSUOLO Napoli and Sassuolo have met 13 times in Serie A TIM, with the Partenopei leading by seven wins to one (D5). Napoli have scored in each of their 13 Serie A TIM games against Sassuolo so far - 22 goals in total, at an average 1.7 per game. Sassuolo have never scored more than one goal away to Napoli in Serie A TIM, netting only four goals in six trips to the San Paolo. Napoli have conceded goals in each of their last 11 home games in Serie A TIM, equalling their longest such run from 1960. Sassuolo have scored in each of their last 11 league games, and could equal their best such run in the competition (12 games in 2014/15). Sassuolo manager Roberto De Zerbi made only three Serie A TIM appearances as a player, with all three coming for for Napoli in 2007/08. He has never beaten Napoli so far as a manager (D1 L4). After winning four games out of five following the restart of the Serie A TIM season (L1), Napoli have won just one of their last four league games (D2 L1). Napoli forward Matteo Politano scored 20 goals in his 96 Serie A TIM appearances for Sassuolo between 2015 and 2018. He has yet to score in three games against them in the competition since, however. made his Serie A TIM debut in a game against Napoli in September 2013 - Berardi has been directly involved in five goals in his last four league appearances. Francesco Caputo has scored four goals and made two assists in his last four league games, and could become Sassuolo’s first player to score in five consecutive Serie A TIM games.

BOLOGNA vs LECCE Lecce have won only three of their 25 games against Bologna so far in Serie A TIM, losing 11 and sharing 11 draws. Bologna have lost only one of their last 12 games against Lecce in the top-flight (0-2 in September 2011), winning six and sharing five draws in the process. Lecce’s only win against Bologna during the second half of the season was in April 1990 – since then, four wins for the Rossoblu and six draws. Lecce have won only one of their 12 previous trips to Bologna in Serie A TIM, but that win came in their last game at the Dall’Ara in September 2011. Should they concede, Bologna will equal the worst record of consecutive Serie A TIM games without a clean sheet set by Verona between 1992 and 1997 (31). Bologna are winless in their last five league games (D2 L3), their worst run since January 2019. Since 2000, only two teams have conceded 77 goals from 35 matches of a Serie A TIM campaign - Lecce this season and Benevento in 2017/18. In the reverse fixture back in December, Bologna striker Riccardo Orsolini netted his only brace in Serie A TIM so far, helping Bologna to secure a 3-2 win. Gianluca Lapadula has scored nine goals in this campaign – should he score another goal, Lecce would have two players in double figure for the first time since the 2004/05 campaign (Mirko Vucinic and Valeri Bojinov). Before joining Lecce, Filippo Falco played nine Serie A TIM games for Bologna in 2015/16 – this could be his first game at the Dall’Ara since January 2016, when the hosts lost 1-0 against Chievo.

CAGLIARI vs UDINESE This will be the 50th meeting in Serie A TIM between Cagliari and Udinese: the Friulani lead by 24 wins to 11, with 14 draws. Udinese have won each of the last three Serie A TIM matches against Cagilari.

Cagliari and Udinese last drew in Sardinia in September 2011 (0-0) – since then, the hosts lead by four wins to two. Cagliari have won only one of their last nine home games (D3 L5), after they had won five of the previous six on home soil (D1). Udinese have won two of their last three away games (L1), as many wins as in their previous 14 away fixtures in the league. Udinese, who beat Juventus in their last league game, haven’t won back-to-back league matches since January. Cagilari manager has a personal record of two wins, two losses and a draw against Udinese as a Serie A TIM manager. Cagliari striker João Pedro has scored four goals against Udinese so far, but only one of those has come at home. Udinese’s Seko Fofana has scored two goals against Cagliari in Serie A TIM, one in his first meeting back in November 2016, and another in his most recent back in December. This is the first Serie A TIM season to see Seko Fofana be directly involved in at least 10 goals for Udinese (scoring three and making seven assists).

HELLAS VERONA vs LAZIO Hellas Verona are winless against Lazio in Serie A TIM since December 2013 – losing five of the most recent eight clahses (D3). Lazio have kept three clean sheets in their last three meetings against Hellas Verona.

The last time Hellas Verona beat Lazio in their second meeting of a Serie A TIM campaign was in 2000 (D1 L5 since). Hellas Verona lead by nine wins to four at home against Lazio (nine draws).

Hellas Verona have lost only one of their last nine home fixtures (0-2 vs Napoli back in June), but have been held to a draw in their last two. They last drew three consecutive home matches back in 1990. Lazio have lost three of their five away games played since lockdown ended (W1 D1), after winning seven of the eight played beforehand (D1). Seven of Lazio’s last nine league goals have been scored in the second half.

Hellas Verona head coach Ivan Juric is still winless after four meetings against Lazio as a Serie A TIM manager (D2 L2). Hellas Verona striker has already scored seven goals in Serie A TIM against Lazio, doing so with four different teams throughout his career (Fiorentina, Sampdoria, Inter and AC Milan). Lazio striker and current Serie A TIM top-scorer Ciro Immobile has been involved in five goals in his last five league appearances against Verona (four goals and an assist). ROMA vs FIORENTINA Fiorentina have drawn 60 times against Roma – more than they have against any other opponent in Serie A TIM. Roma have won 10 of their last 15 games against Fiorentina in Serie A TIM, losing only two (D3). Roma have beaten Fiorentina 37 times at home in Serie A TIM, compared to 15 defeats – with 28 draws. The most recent Serie A TIM meeting between Roma and Fiorentina at the Olimpico ended level – the last time these two sides shared consecutive draws in Roma was in 1996. Roma have scored at least two goals in each of their last five league games – their best run since February 2017. No side has kept more clean sheets than Fiorentina since the start of 2020 in Serie A TIM (seven, including their last two games against Torino and Inter). Despite having already set his best scoring record in a single Serie A TIM campaign (six goals), Nicolò Zaniolo has scored just two goals in his last 14 home appearances in the competition. Diego Perotti has scored three goals and assisted another in his last five league appearances aganst Fiorentina, this after he had failed to score or assist a single goal in his previous four games against the Viola. Roma striker Nikola Kalinic scored 27 goals in his 68 league appearances for Fiorentina between 2015 and 2017 – indeed, he has now scored in consecutive league appearances for the first time since November 2015 (when he was at Fiorentina). Fiorentina defender Dalbert made his Serie A TIM debut in a game against Roma in August 2017, when he was at Inter.

SPAL vs TORINO SPAL and Torino have met 35 times so far in Serie A TIM, the Granata lead by 18 wins to six, with 11 draws. After winning the reverse fixture back in December, SPAL could beat Torino twice in the same season for the first time in the top-flight. Torino have failed to score in eight of their last 10 trips to SPAL in Serie A TIM.

SPAL are on a run of six conseutive Serie A TIM losses for the first time in their history – the last side to lose seven in a row was Verona in May 2018 under . SPAL are one of only four Clubs to lose at least 26 of their first 35 games of the season in Serie A TIM, after Lecce in 1993/94, Brescia in 1994/95 and Benevento in 2017/18. Torino have lost eight consecutive games away from home in the same season for the first time in their Serie A TIM history. Their longest run away from home remains 13 consecutive losses between two seasons (1932/33 and 1933/34). SPAL striker Andrea Petagna has scored two twice and assisted once in his last three appearances against Torino in Serie A TIM. Mirko Valdifiori played 37 Serie A TIM games with Torino, before his move to SPAL. He remains the player with the most appearances without scoring since his debut in this competition in 2014/15 (116 games). Simone Zaza’s debut for Torino was in September 2018 in a game against SPAL – though he is yet to score against them in three games since. Cristian Ansaldi has already made four assists this season, equalling his all-time Serie A TIM record (2015/16 with Genoa). The last Torino defender to register more in a single campaign was Davide Zappacosta (five in 2016/17).

JUVENTUS vs SAMPDORIA Juventus and Sampdoria have met 123 times in Serie A TIM so far, with the Old Lady winning 60 times compared to Sampdoria’s 26 (37 draws). Juventus and Sampdoria haven’t shared a draw in Serie A TIM since December 2014 (1-1) – since then, the Bianconeri lead by eight wins to two. Juventus have found the net in each of their last 10 home games against Sampdoria (29 goals in total). Juventus have won their last four home games against Sampdoria – the last time they won five in a row against the Blucerchiati was in 1968. Despite losing their last match against Genoa, Sampdoria remain the team with the most wins since start of July in Serie A TIM (five), while Juve have managed to win only two games in the same period. Juventus have conceded 13 goals in their last six games: only Brescia (16) and SPAL (20) have done worse over this period. ’s side have dropped 18 points from leading situations in this Serie A TIM season, eight of which have come in their last five games. Juventus defender Giorgio Chiellini has scored four goals in 19 Serie A TIM games vs Sampdoria, his favourite target in the Italian top-flight. Juventus forward Paulo Dybala’s first goals in Serie A TIM were scored in November 2012 against Sampdoria, when he was at Palermo. The Blucerchiati are his favourite target in (seven goals in total against them). Sampdoria’s striker scored 23 goals in his 84 Serie A TIM appearances for Juventus between 2010 and 2014. He has netted only one goal against the Old Lady since leaving, however.
