Proper Pool Attire Please be advised that while swimming in our pools, patrons must wear proper pool attire. Bathing Suits and Swim Trunks All swimmers must wear bathing suits. T-shirts, mesh shorts, cut-off shorts or any other clothing not designed for swimming, are prohibited. All swimming trunks must have a liner. An exception may be made for those individuals who cannot wear bathing suits for religious reasons. In these instances, the individual may wear a full-body danskin suit (usually made of a Lycra material). Examples of this type of swimwear can be found below. T-shirts may NOT be worn over the suits. Shirts While T-shirts are not permitted to be worn in the pool, we also realize that sun protection is very important. In an effort to accommodate those individuals who are sun-sensitive or want to protect themselves from the sun’s rays, we will allow patrons to wear “rash guards”. Rash guards are Lycra-like shirts, typically worn by surfers to avoid getting a “rash” from their surfboard. These shirts come in short and long-sleeve styles and fit snugly to avoid the shirt riding up in the water. They can usually be purchased in any marine supply store, sporting goods retailer or specialty swim shop. In some cases, they may be sold seasonally at Target, K-mart, etc. These are the ONLY types of shirt that will be permitted in our swimming pools. Diapers Regular diapers are not permitted to be worn in the pool. Wet diapers can swell up, disintegrate and clog the filter. We will allow the waterproof, snug-fitting swim diaper, which is designed for use in the water. These diapers may be purchased at any supermarket. They are made by the same companies that make regular diapers (Huggies, Luvs, etc.) Conservative Swimwear example USCG approved Life jacket example Swim Diaper example .
