Jefferson Pool Rules and Regulations 1. Admission: a. All persons entering the pool must pay full admission price or have a season pass, including spectators. b. In accordance with the DuPage County Health Department a clean is required to enter the water. c. Cutoffs, , , and underwear (, , , etc.) cannot be used as a swimsuit and is determined at the discretion of the Pool Manager. d. A clean T- is allowed in the water and is determined at the discretion of the Pool Manager. e. Swim : Infants and toddlers can enjoy the water if they are wearing a tight disposable swim diaper under their swimsuit. Please note: Disposable swim are necessary for non-toilet trained patrons. f. Children under 10 years old must be accompanied by an adult during open swim 12-5:50p. g. Children under 14 years old must be accompanied by an adult during evening swim 6p-close. h. Lost or stolen season pool passes will be replaced for $10 for the first replacement. Thereafter, the full purchase price will be charged. i. A season pass used by persons other than to whom the pass was issued, will be confiscated and the person using the illegal pass will be charged the daily admission fee. j. Jefferson pool is a non-smoking facility. Persons may exit the pool to smoke 15 feet from the building entrance. k. NO loitering or smoking in the lobby, bathhouse, or property. l. The Recreation Department is not responsible for lost articles. 2. Rough play in the swimming pool or anywhere on the premises will result in eviction and/or possible confiscation of the pass privilege. 3. Please report any accidents or injuries to the pool Manager immediately. First aid is provided in the pool office. 4. In the Water: a. All swimmers should take a soapy shower before entering the water. b. Children wearing flotation must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. c. An adult swim period will be held ten minutes prior to the hour for persons 18 and over determined by the pool manager. Under 18 must exit the water, including the zero depth pool. d. Everyone must exit the water at 5:50p for safety break. e. Chairs may not be brought into the water in the zero depth pool. f. NO somersaulting or jumping backward from the side of the pool. Enter the pool feet first, facing the pool. 5. On the Deck: a. Strollers must be kept a minimum of four feet from the water. b. Personal chaise lounges must be kept a minimum of four feet from the water. c. Ball playing is allowed only in the grassy area away from the deck and concession area. d. No Running on the pool deck and shower and changing rooms. e. Somersaulting or jumping backward from the side of the pool is not allowed. Only feet first, facing the pool entries into the water are allowed. f. Diving from pool edge is allowed in the deep water in the lanes for lap swimmers only. 6. Diving safety: a. One person at one time on the diving board and one bounce per person. b. Divers must wait at the bottom of the ladder until the previous person has reached the side of the pool. c. Divers must leave straight off the front of the board and swim immediately to the ladder. d. Divers cannot wear flotation devices, goggles or masks from the diving board. e. Diving only allowed from edge of pool in the lanes from the 11 feet end of the pool. f. NO seat drops or double bounces allowed. 7. Waterslide safety: a. Patrons must wait at the of the waterslide until the attendant indicated it is safe to go down. b. Patrons must slide feet first, in a sitting position or on their back. c. Patrons must be at least 40” tall to ride the waterslide. d. Patrons cannot wear flotation devices, goggles or masks on the waterslide. e. NO Jewelry (bracelets, , rings, etc.), keys, buttons, locker keys, etc. on the slide. They can damage the slides and injure patrons. 8. Concessions: a. Personal food and beverages may be brought into the facility. Please use the receptacles to dispose of trash. b. Concessions are available for purchase at the front desk. c. NO Glass containers of any kind in the bathhouse, concession area, or on the pool deck; plastic water bottles only. Revised 08.3.2021SME
