The Listed Building History Originall designed and constructed in 1849 by william Tite for the Windsor, Staines and South Western Railway, Chiswick Station House is a predominantley a two storey building with small single storey wings abutting each side. Constructed from London stock brick and adorned with rendered quoins and dressings Chiswick Station House is a beautiful example of the Tite ‘Classical Villa. The station house ceased being used by the railway in 1989 and was subsequently taken into private ownership and houses commercial premises. In 2003, with the support and co-operation of London Borough of Hounslow, the then unoccupied and poorly maintained listed building was extended and refurbished to create circa 2,500 sqft of net lettable high quality commercial space.
