Denne uønskede berigelse af sedimenterne resulterer i forøget iltforbrug, udsivning af næringssalte som ammonium og fosfat samt akkumulering af sulfid (Carlsson et al. 2009). Følgelig er biodiversiteten i sedimenter under opdrætsanlæg ofte lav og lavere end i kontrolområder. Gravende og dermed bioturberende børsteorme har potentiale til at stimulere omsætningen af de sedimenterende muslingefækalier på samme vis, som det er konstateret under fiskefarme (Heilskov et al. 2006, Sanz- Lazaro et al. 2011). Dermed forbedres sedimenternes assimilative kapacitet (Hargrave et al. 2008) og forhindrer eller reducerer forringelsen af sedimentforholdene. I dette studie har vi tilsat børsteormene Capitella sp., som er lille og tolerant overfor organisk berigelse, og Hediste diversicolor, som er større, men mindre tolerant overfor organisk berigelse, til sedimenter belastet med organisk materiale fra muslingeanlæg. Begge orme er arter hjemmehørende i Skandinavien og H. diversicolor er potentielt en kommercielt interessant art, da den bruges af lystfiskere som agn (Bischoff et al. 2009). I undersøgelsen blev der tilsat orme i forskellig tæthed til sedimenter i felten henholdsvis under og udenfor et opdrætsanlæg, og efter 5 uger blev sedimentets iltoptagelse, fluxe ind og ud af næringssalte og sulfidpuljerne målt. -

THE JOURNAL OF PETER CHRISTIAN GEERTSEN 1855 - 1864 TRANSLATED BY RICHARD L. JENSEN (Oct 1855 – June 5th 1860) AND ULLA CHRISTENSEN (June 6th 1860 – Feb 1864) EDITED BY JEFF GEERTSEN 1 Editor’s Note: The Journal of Peter Christian Geertsen was transcribed from microfilm copies of his original books, which now reside in the LDS Church Archives. About two thirds of the journal was translated in the 1990’s by Richard L. Jensen, who was unable to complete the work due to other assignments by the Church History Deprtament, where he is employed. I am very grateful, therefore, to have made contact with Ulla Christensen, who graciously volunteered to complete the translation. A native of Denmark, Ulla currently resides in Nevada, and is a descendant of the sister of Jens Jensen Gravgaard, the father of Jensine Jensen, the wife of Peter C. Geertsen Jr. Her translation is a seamless continuation of Richard Jensen’s work, and the completed journal is now a very readable witness to Peter’s early life and church work. The account begins with a biography and ends just before Peter and his new wife Mariane Pedersen left Denmark to come to Utah in 1864. Peter returned to Denmark twice as a missionary, and journal accounts of those missions, written in English this time, have been transcribed and are available as well. It will be helpful for the reader to understand the notations used by myself and the translators. Missing and implied words were placed in brackets [ ] by the translators to add clarity. Unreadable words are indicated by [?]. -

Finding the Land of Opportunity Intergenerational Mobility in Denmark Jesper Eriksen Department of Business and Management Aalborg University 178,866 characters with spaces - 74.5 pages May 31, 2018 Abstract Denne afhandling omhandler lige muligheder inden for intergenerationel mobilitet i en dansk kontekst. Afhandlingen forholder sig til spørgsmålet, “Er lighed i muligheder påvirket af lokalområder i Danmark?”. Jeg besvarer forskningsspørgsmålet ved at undersøge tre under- spørgsmål: (1) “Hvad karakteriserer den geografiske fordeling af muligheder i Danmark?”, (2) “Hvorfor kunne bestemte grupper, defineret ved geografi, forventes at opleve højere eller lavere mobilitet? Hvilken rolle spiller lokalområde karakteristika som forklarende variabel i forhold til lige muligheder?”, og (3) “Hvad er effekten af at flytte fra ét lokal område til et andet for lige muligheder for flyttende familier?“. Først opstiller jeg et teoretisk grundlag for at kunne diskutere lighed i muligheder, som filosofisk begreb, i relation til gængse mål for lighed i muligheder: intergenerationel mobilitet. Jeg påviser, at det ikke er muligt at vurdere, hvorvidt lighed i muligheder påvirkes ud fra nogen af de tre teorier ved alene at undersøge mobilitetsmål. For at besvare forskningsspørgsmålet kræves der information om, hvordan lokalområder kausalt påvirker intergenerationel mobilitet. For at besvare første underspørgsmål beskriver jeg grundlæggende træk i litteraturen om in- tergenerational mobilitet, samt den metodiske literatur om intergenerationel mobilitetsmål. Datagrundlaget for besvarelsen er dansk registerdata for perioden 1980-2012, som tillader kobling af børn og forældre, samt måling af samlet indkomst før skat. Ved at allokere børn født mellem 1973-1975 til de kommuner, som primært vokser op i, fra de er 7-15 viser jeg, at der er substantiel variation i intergenerationel mobilitet på tværs af danske kommuner. -

STRATEGIC ENERGY PLANNING IN DENMARK AT MUNICIPAL AND REGIONAL LEVEL STRATEGIC ENERGY PLANNING IN DENMARK AT MUNICIPAL AND REGIONAL LEVEL STRATEGIC ENERGY PLANNING IN DENMARK AT MUNICIPAL AND REGIONAL LEVEL STRATEGIC ENERGY PLANNING IN DENMARK AT MUNICIPAL AND REGIONAL LEVEL STRATEGIC ENERGY PLANNING IN DENMARK AT MUNICIPAL AND REGIONAL LEVEL The Danish government’s long-term vision is that Denmark becomes independent of fossil fuels. Municipalities have the local knowledge that can ensure political anchoring and commitment from citizens and local businesses to the green transition of the energy system and the economy. In their capacity as local planning and land-use authority, as owner of supply and transport companies, and as a major consumer, the municipalities are in a unique position to facilitate change. A program with 3.3 mill. EUR was launched in 2014 to support municipal strategic energy planning, providing a 50% grant for the projects. Strengthening partnerships: Cost-effective transition to green growth: • Vertically – state, region, municipality • Mapping energy efficiency and renewable energy resources • Horizontally – across municipalities • Analysing energy futures and strategic choices • Locally – businesses, supply companies, municipality • Setting targets and action plans • Internally – municipal administrations • Demonstrating green solutions • Democratically – citizens and interest organisations In total, 14 partnership projects for strategic energy planning were initiated with each their unique partnership structure and with each their individual energy perspective. The support program aimed at demonstrating different types of partnerships and tackle different aspects of a cost-effective transition to green growth. The 14 projects include 6 regional projects (in the five Danish regions) and 8 projects involving a smaller number of municipalities. -

EEVC Brussels, Belgium, November 19-22, 2012 The Swedish car movement data project Lars-Henrik Kullingsjö 1, Sten Karlsson 2 Energy and Environment, Chalmers University of Technology Gothenburg, SE-41296, Sweden [email protected], [email protected] Abstract To facilitate a well-informed and efficient transition to electrified vehicles, such as PHEVs, information about individual vehicle’s movements over longer time periods is needed. This is of major importance for optimal battery design, estimation of consumer viability and assessment of the potential for PHEVs to shift energy use in transport sector from fuel to electricity. Good and publicly available data of this kind is today unfortunately lacking. The aim of this project has been to gather a larger amount of data on the characteristics and distribution of individual movements for privately driven cars in Sweden by measurement with GPS equipment. The logging was performed with commercial equipment containing a GPS unit, including a roof-mounted antenna, and a gprs communication unit. Data logged were: time, position, velocity, and number and id of used satellites. The measurement started in June 2010 and ended in September 2012. The target is to accomplish good quality measurements of at least 30 days for about 500 representative vehicles. All data is not yet processed but in this paper initial statistics is offered to present important areas of use and possibilities for future work.
