SENATORS FRED R. HARRIS, Democrat, was born November 13, 1930, In Walters, Oklahoma. He attended the , where he earned a B.A. Degree and memoership In Phi Beta Kappa; he then entered umversity law school and graduated at the head of his class in 1~54. He practiced law in Lawton, Oklahoma, until he was elected to the Oklahoma State Senate in 1956, and again in 1960. He was elected to the U. S. Senate November 3, 1964, for the final nwo years of the term of the late Robert S. Kerr and re·elected on November 8, 1966. His cnrrent term expires January 3, 1973.

HENRY BELLMON, Republican, of Billings, Oklahoma was born on a farm near Tonkawa, September 3, 1921. He attended Oklahoma A. & JlI. College (now Oklahoma State University) and earned a B.S. Degree in Agriculture in 1942. He served in U.S. Marine Corps and was awarded the Legion of Merit and Silver Star. He has been engaged in farming near Billings and raises wheat and cattle. He was State Republi­ can Chairman in 1960; served one term in Oklahoma House of Representatives, 1946- 48; elected Oklahoma's first Republican Governor In 1962, served 4 years and was elected to the U.S. Senate on November 5, 1968. His current term ends January 3, 1975.

REPRESENTATIVES CARL BERT ALBERT, Democrat, of McAlester, Oklahoma was bom In that city May 10, 1908. He attended the University of OKlahoma and was a Rhodes Scholar at Oxford University. He served in the U. S. Army during World War II. He Is a practicing attorney and served as county attorney of Muskogee, Oklahoma. Representative Edmondson was elected to the 83rd Congress November 4, 1952 and has been re-elected to the 84th through the 91st Congresses. JOHN JARMAN, Democrat. of , was born in Salllsaw, Oklahoma on Jnly 17, 1915. He attended Yale University and Harvard Law School. He served In the U. S. Army from 1942 through 1945. Representative Jarman served In the Okla­ homa Legislature, both in the House of Representatires and the Senate. He has served in the U. S. House of Representatives in the 82nd through the 91st Congresses. TOM STEED, Democrat, of Shawnee, Oklahoma, was born near Rising Star, Texas on March 2, 1904. He served twenty years on various Oklahoma dallies, including four years as managing editor of the Shawnee News and Star. He served In the Anti­ aircraft Artillery from October 1942 to May 1944 and with the Office of War Information in the India-Burma theater from Jnly 1944 through December 1945. Representative Steed was elected to the 81st through the 9lst Congresses. JOHN N. HAPPY CAMP, Republican, of Waukomis, Oklahoma, was born in Enid, Oklahoma, May 11, 1908. He attended Waukomis schools and Phillips University in Enid. He is Chairman of the Board of Waukomis State Bank. He served 20 years in the Oklahoma Legislature and was Chairman of the Oklahoma State Board of Affairs. He was elected to the 91st Congress.
