Back to directory FAQ 1. Why is Astro renumbering its channels? Today we have more than 200 channels of which, 100 are High Definition channels. We are reorganising our channel listings by moving the HD channel numbers to higher positions for easier access to the best quality version of the channel. To find corresponding HD/SD channels, look at the number of the high definition channel and just add 20. (+40 for Chinese channels). Some examples as below: • Astro RIA HD will now be on Channel 104 while Astro RIA will now be on Channel 124 (104+20 from Astro RIA HD). • Astro Hua Hee Dai HD will now be on Channel 333 while Astro Hua Hee Dai will now be on Channel 373 (333+40 from Astro Hua Hee Dai HD). 2. When will the channel renumbering happen? The new channel numbers will take effect on 1 April 2020, 00:01 hours. 3. Do I need to do anything for the channel renumbering to happen? No, you do not need to do anything! Just continue to enjoy your favourite shows on the new channels. 4. Do I have to reset my Favourite channels list? Yes. As the channel numbers are now different, you would need to reset your Favourite channel listing. To do this, please click into TV Guide and set your favourite channel with the “fav” button on your remote control. 5. What will happen to all my recordings in My Library and scheduled recording? All your previous recordings will not be affected by this channel renumbering and scheduled recordings will remain the same, although the channel numbers have changed. FAQ Back to directory.

The station's chief executive officer Shazalli Ramly said this when giving details of the launching here today. He said in conjunction with the launch, NTV7 would bring 14 top international and Malaysian artistes for a performance called "Konsert Seceria Pelangi". "The concert to be aired from 8.30pm to 10pm promises the best featuring the cream of the crop," he said. Among international artistes taking part in the performance will be Mehnaz from India, Caraboa (Thailand), Marvis Hee (Singapore), Mayang Sari (Indonesia), Jeremie (Philipines) and Qiu hai-zeng (Taiwan). Among the local artistes for the concert would be KRU, Nora, Siti Nurhaliza, Ning Baizura, Awie, Erra Fazira and Jay Jay. He said a special rendition of the evergreen "Somewhere Over The Rainbow" by pupils from Sri Kuala Lumpur Primary School and dancers from The Ballet Studio and the Federal Academy of Ballet will set the mood for the concert for that night. In conjunction with the launch, the private television station will be running a home viewer competition "Peraduan Seceria Pelangi" from tomorrow until May 22. It is offering a Alfa Romeo sports car as the grand prize.
