According to a report then by Bernama News Agency, the grandfathers of Tan Sri T. Ananda Krishnan and Tan Sri G. Gnanalingam had been brought to Malaysia from Jaffna by British colonial rulers to work in Malaysia¶s Public Works Department, a common practice then as Jaffna produced some of the most educated people in the whole country. Tan Sri Gnanalingam himself told one of our ministers that he wants to put something back into this country because his grandfather was Sri Lankan," Deputy Director-General of Sri Lanka's Board of Investment (BOI) Santhusht Jayasuriya had told a a group of visiting Malaysian journalists then, 2 according to the Bernama 2003 story. Gnanalingam, executive chairman of Malaysia's Westport, held talks with Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe during a visit to Malaysia in 2003 and the former followed up with a visit to Colombo. In the same year a Memorandum of Understanding was formalized in March this year between 'Westport' and the Sri Lanka Ports Authority (SLPA). Westport is keen to invest in Sri Lanka but no formal process has begun.

    Broadcasting Regulatory Policy CRTC 2011-43 PDF version Ottawa, 25 January 2011 Revised lists of eligible satellite services – Annual compilation of amendments 1. In Broadcasting Public Notice 2006-55, the Commission announced that it would periodically issue public notices setting out revised lists of eligible satellite services that include references to all amendments that have been made since the previous public notice setting out the lists was issued. 2. Accordingly, in Appendix 1 to this regulatory policy, the Commission sets out all amendments made to the revised lists since the issuance of Broadcasting Regulatory Policy 2010-57. In addition, the lists of eligible satellite services approved as of 31 December 2010 are set out in Appendix 2. 3. The Commission notes that, as set out in Broadcasting Regulatory Policy 2010-839, it approved a request by TELUS Communications Company for the addition of 17 new language tracks to Baby TV, a non-Canadian service already included on the lists of eligible satellite services for distribution on a digital basis. This Code is used to assess the compliance of all programmes broadcast on or after 25 July 2005.
