Like every previous year, the university was full of new activities, initiatives, innovations and services. Number of new students and faculty joined us to realize our objectives towards fulfilling mission and vision of the university. The university was placed 26th in National Institutional Ranking Framework, 801-1000 bracket in Times Higher Education World University Ranking, and 210th in QS Asia University Ranking. It has received many research grants in the academic year. Two more undergraduate programs were accredited by ABET this year; which conforms to our inspiration of providing education of international standard and quality. The university is realizing its aim to collaborate for research and work closely with leading international institutes/universities to become top most university in India through partnerships with Trinity College Dublin, Tel Aviv University, University of Groningen and University of New South Wales. -
ANAND Announces a Joint Venture with Joyson Safety Systems Merged Entity Looking at Achieving a Turnover of Rs
PRESS RELEASE ANAND announces a Joint Venture with Joyson Safety Systems Merged entity looking at achieving a turnover of Rs. 1000 Crores by 2023 New Delhi, June 2019: ANAND Group, a leading manufacturer of automotive components in India, today further consolidated its presence in the Indian automotive safety systems vertical. It announced the formation of a Tri-Party Joint Venture to merge the two Joint Ventures of Joyson Safety Systems (“JSS”) in India. KSS Abhishek Safety Systems Private Limited (“KSSA”) which is a Joint Venture of JSS with Abhishek Group is being merged with Takata India Pvt. Ltd (“TIPL”). TIPL is a Joint Venture between ANAND Group and JSS. The new Tri Party Joint Venture will be called “Joyson ANAND Abhishek Safety Systems Private Limited” (“JAASS”). The merger of the two entities is subject to approval of the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT). Under the terms of the new Joint Venture agreement, ANAND Group will be increasing its stake to 30% in the combined entity JAASS from its current holding of 25% in TIPL. The new shareholding structure of JAASS will be: JSS 65%, ANAND Group 30% and Abhishek Group 5%. Post this merger, JAASS will have four manufacturing facilities in India- 1) Neemrana, Rajasthan; 2) Kancheepuram, Tamil Nadu; 3) Manesar, Haryana and 4) Pune, Maharashtra. Manesar plant also houses a state-of-the-art R&D facility on par with any such facility globally. JAASS is poised to become a leading supplier of safety-critical components such as airbags (all types- driver, passenger, side, curtain etc.), seat belts (front and rear) and steering wheels to all major OEMs in India and is projected to achieve a turnover of Rs. -

Sundaram Karivardhan Sundaram Karivardhan or short Kari (June 20, 1954 Coimbatore, India–August 24, 1995 in the same town) was a legendary figure of Indian motorsports. Apart from being a successful formula car racer, was also a designer and constructor of several formula cars, his most famous design being the Formula Maruti open wheeled race car. His low cost cars helped other racers, notably Narain Karthikeyan, Karun Chandhok, and Armaan Ebrahim, to their entry into motorsports. A wealthy industrialist, he was later killed in an air crash, aged 41. Early days Sundaram Karivardhan was born on 20 June 1954 in Coimbatore to noted Indian freedom fighter G.K.Sundaram from the Lakshmi Millstextile family. He did his schooling in Coimbatore and after graduating in mechanical engineering from PSG College of Technology, he completed his master of science at the UCLA, Los Angeles. Motor racing Quiet and shy in nature from a very young age, he showed a keen interest in bikes and cars. In the United Kingdom he attended the Jim Russell racing school. Later, when he returned to India in the mid-70's, he started participating in the Chennai's Sholavaram races and Calcutta's Barrackpore track. His first race was 1973 Sholavaram Grand Prix meet, later he appeared every year in newly constructed formula cars from his own garage. He raced until 1995, the year of his demise. Cars he raced ranged from Premier Padmini, Datsun 510, Sipani Dolphin, Formula Atlantic, several cars of his own design and in the final years Formula 3 cars. His last race was in a Formula Ford, in McDowell ]'s body shell in Chennai's MMSC track. -
