We questioned our 12 Romanian students about their expectations and needs of formation related to the summer school activities and we received their answers in the form of learning journals as part of their portfolios. We presented the results of our research as an answer to the question on the efficiency and benefit that summer school activities could bring to Geography university students’ education and we concluded that learning journals were efficient educational tools.
