DAY BY DAY ITINERARY Dates: August 6th – 21st, 2021

A small group adventure to a region of ancient tradition and unbeatable hospitality, a region so unfamiliar, even to the experienced traveler.

Main Stops: Armenia: Yerevan – Areni – Goris – Dilijan Georgia: Mtshketa – Tbilisi – Gori – Kutaisi – Tbilisi

About the Tour: All of our unique tours focus on local interaction, local activities and education and we keep our itineraries flexible so that you always get the absolute most out of your trip! We also see the main stuff too, but these are not standard, cookie-cutter group experiences. Always small groups, always laid-back, always diving straight into the heart of every destination we visit!

August 6th: YEREVAN (ARMENIA) – ARRIVAL DAY – Arrival in Yerevan with airport pick up and private transfer to our hotel (based on your arrival time) Accommodation: Hotel

August 7th: YEREVAN – City walking tour through various neighborhoods of the fascinating Armenian capital – Free evening Accommodation: Hotel

August 8th: YEREVAN – Full day trip – Zvartnots cathedral – City of Echmiadzin (also known as Vagharshapat) – Arinj village (home to Levon’s cave) Accommodation: Hotel

August 9th: ARENI / GORIS – Drive to the village of Areni for local wine tasting – Khor Virap monastery Accommodation: Guesthouse

August 10th: GORIS – Explore the Tatev Monestary – Free time in the afternoon Accommodation: Guesthouse

August 11th: DILIJAN – Orbelian’s Caravanseri – Khachkar Cemetery – Sevanavank Monastery – Arrival in Dilijan (Total driving time about 8 hours including stops.) Accommodation: Guesthouse

August 12th: DILIJAN – Free day for hiking and exploring – Evening cooking lesson and meal with homestay family Accommodation: Guesthouse

August 13th: TBILISI (GEORGIA) – Border crossing into Georgia – Arrival in Tbilisi – Orientation wander through the Georgian capital Accommodation: Hotel

August 14th: MTSHKETA / TBILISI – Ancient capital of Mtskheta – Tour of the historical monuments – Return to Tbilisi – Experience Tbilisi’s evening culture Accommodation: Hotel

August 15th: GORI – Arrival in Gori – Visit to all of the sights dedicated to Stalin Accommodation: Guesthouse

August 16th: KUTAISI – Travel day to Kutaisi via Borjomi – Stops along the way Accommodation: Guesthouse

August 17th: KUTAISI – City tour including stops at local markets, churches, museums and more! Accommodation: Guesthouse

August 18th: KUTAISI – Free day to explore – Optional activities and sights outside of Kutaisi depending on weather Accommodation: Guesthouse

August 20th: TBILISI – Free day for exploring and option activities – Final group dinner and evening out Accommodation: Hotel

August 21st: TBILISI – DEPARTURE DAY – Airport transfers will be arranged based on your departure flight time

PRICING Tour cost:  $3095 USD per person, single room (there are 5 single rooms available on this trip)  $2445 USD per person, twin-share room (solo travelers will be paired together in a room with two beds)

*BOOK WITH CONFIDENCE: To reserve your spot on a tour, a $500 deposit will be required. However, you can book with complete peace of mind as this deposit will be 100% refundable until 3 months prior to the trip start date.
