  • Role of the United States in the Indonesian Independence Movement: 1945-1949
INFORMATION TO USERS This material was produced from a microfilm copy of the original document. While the most advanced technological means to photograph and reproduce this document have been used, the quality is heavily dependent upon the quality of the original submitted. The following explanation of techniques is provided to help you understand markings or patterns which may appear on this reproduction. 1. The sign or "target" for pages apparently lacking from the document photographed is "Missing Page(s)". If it was possible to obtain the missing page(s) or section, they are spliced into the film along with adjacent pages. This may have necessitated cutting thru an image and duplicating adjacent pages to insure you complete continuity. 2. When an image on the film is obliterated with a large round black mark, it is an indication that the photographer suspected that the copy may have moved during exposure and thus cause a blurred image. You will find a good image of die page in tfie adjacent frame. 3. When a map, drawing or chart, etc., was part of the material being photographed the photographer followed a definite method in "sectioning" the material. It is customary to begin photoing at the upper left hand corner of a large sheet and to continue photoing from left to right in equal sections with a small overlap. If necessary, sectioning is continued again — beginning below the first row and continuing on until complete. 4. The majority of users indicate that the textual content is of greatest value, however, a somewhat higher quality reproduction could be made from "photographs" if essential to the understanding of the dissertation.

  • No Cancer Foundation
NO CANCER FOUNDATION Nazi's hijacked the Netherlands stealth to continue the Third Reich along the Benelux, Europe, America and the rest of the world with global genocide consequences. Therefore this request to all responsible on Earth and beyond, to help STOP the by Nazi hijacked Netherlands who stealth continue the Third Reich along the Benelux, Europe, America and the rest of the world with global genocide consequences. Based on the on 5 September 1944 in London falsely signed Dutch- Belgian-Luxembourg Customs Convention, the subsequent on 2 February 1958 closed Treaty, establishing of the Benelux Economic Union and declaration of the "New Benelux Treaty" done at The Hague (Nazi Netherlands) on 17 June 2008 witch all is not legally. By these the Belgian Constitutional Court ore Government are the only authority’s that can stop the on falsely treaty based global acquisition and genocide, by destroying the Benelux Treaty, they creating legal regulations to re-build a democratic Europe with independent countries based on the democratic laws before the Dutch-Belgian-Luxembourg Customs Convention. The Belgian King Leopold III saves the world and defeats posthumous Nazi Netherlands (VVD, CDA, PvdA, SGP) from which cur Nazi Europe originated. For substructure: read our registered letter (Dutch language), sent on 3 October 2012 to the Belgian Constitutional Court. One must be aware of the fact that a repetition of the mistakes that were made in the past lies again in front of us (video). The lives of millions if not billions of people will once again put in jeopardy (video), even worse as was the case in the I and II World War (video1/2/3/4).

  • APPENDIX .A. Note on the Present Position of the Munich Agreement of 29 September 1938
APPENDIX .A. Note on the Present Position of the Munich Agreement of 29 September 1938 THE Munich Agreement, concluded between Germany, the United Kingdom, France and Italy for the cession of the Sudeten German territory by Czecho slovakia, although officially dated 29 September 1938, was in reality signed in the small hours of the morning of 30 September. l To it was annexed a declaration by the British and French Governments guaranteeing the new boundaries of the Czechoslovak state against unprovoked aggression. Germany and Italy also agreed to give a similar guarantee to Czechoslovakia 'when the question of the Polish and Hungarian minorities in Czechoslovakia had been settled'. It was further declared that the problems of these minorities in Czechoslovakia, if not settled within three months by agreement between the respective Governments, 'shall form the subject of another meeting of the Heads of the Governments of the four Powers here present'. Because of its nature, the Munich Agreement was not subject to the usual forms of ratification, and no provision for such procedure was included in its text. Parliamentary approval was accorded to Mr Chamberlain and to M. Daladier, on 6 and 5 October respectively, by means of votes of confidence but by the time these had been given in the House of Commons and the Chamber of Deputies the terms of the Munich Agreement were already a fait accompli. On 2 November 1938 the German and Italian Foreign Ministers, Ribben trop and Ciano, handed down the First Vienna Award, which, without consultation with, or reference to, the British and French Governments, adjudicated the fate of the Polish and Hungarian minorities in Czechoslovakia, in violation of the annexe to the Munich Agreement.2 The structure set up by the Munich Agreement was destroyed on 15 March 1939 when Hitler proclaimed that 'Czechoslovakia has ceased to exist'.

  • The Nuclear Option Why Is There a Differentiation Between the Nuclear Energy Policy of the Netherlands and Belgium?
The Nuclear Option Why is there a differentiation between the nuclear energy policy of the Netherlands and Belgium? Name: Bo Snier (6012558) [email protected] th Date: June 20 , 2021. MA-Thesis History oF Politics and Society: Sustainability (GKMV17023) Supervisor: Dr. Hans Schouwenburg Words: 13578 1 Abstract The usage oF nuclear energy has been the subject oF much debate in the past and in the present. Even within the European Union, the use oF nuclear energy is not without complications. For eXample, Belgium is almost dependent on the use oF nuclear energy, while it is hardly used in the Netherlands. This distinction will be analyzed in this thesis, and an attempt will be made to provide an answer to the question: Why is there a diFFerentiation between the nuclear energy policy oF the Netherlands and Belgium? This matter was answered by looking at the trend that has been going on since Second World War and evaluating the actors involved in political and social debates using available source material. These actors are the government, environmental movements, the industrial sector, and scientists, in that order. According to the Findings, there is virtually little variation between Dutch and Belgian policies. The government in the Netherlands, however, made place For environmental groups and incorporated critical voices From scientists in the decision-making process. Although the Dutch government did not Follow the recommendations one-on-one, it did result in a shiFt in policy in Belgium, where these players had little or no impact on political processes; it even appeared that most scientists supported the use oF nuclear energy.

  • United Nations Decision Making As Value - Based Decision Making
The United Nations and the Evolution of Global Values Spijkers, O. Citation Spijkers, O. (2011, October 12). The United Nations and the Evolution of Global Values. School of Human Rights Research Series. Intersentia, Antwerpen. Retrieved from https://hdl.handle.net/1887/17926 Version: Not Applicable (or Unknown) License: Downloaded from: https://hdl.handle.net/1887/17926 Note: To cite this publication please use the final published version (if applicable). UNITED NATIONS DECISION MAKING AS VALUE - BASED DECISION MAKING 1 INTRODUCTION Global values have been described as globally shared beliefs about a better world. Beliefs are not facts. Beliefs exist only in the world of ideas, and therefore a small group of scientists researching the state of the world and looking for improvements cannot simply draw up a list of global values. Global values can only be discovered through a global discussion which is sufficiently inclusive, in the sense that the entire global community participates in some way. The participants should not all focus on safeguarding their own particular interests, but rather on defining and safeguarding the global interest, defined in terms of globally shared values. The discussion should also be action-oriented. It should inspire those responsible for action to act. Does the United Nations, and more in particular the UN General Assembly, provide a forum for this global discussion? That is the central question of this chapter. It reveals how the key features of value-based decision making, outlined in rather abstract terms in the previous chapter, have been fleshed out in the framework of the United Nations. The drafting process of the UN Charter (2) and the subsequent continuation of the decision-making process by the General Assembly (3) are analysed and the way in which United Nations allocates the responsibility for realizing the pledges made in this global discussion is examined (4).
