ORDER MADE UNDER REGULATION 6OA. Whereas I consider it expedient in the interests of public safety to make a clearance order in respect of the land described in the Schedule hereto : Now, therefore, I, the Commissioner of Famagusta, in exercise of the powers vested in me by Regulation 6OA of the Emergency Powers (Public Safety and Order) Regulations, 1955 to (No. 16) 1956, do hereby order as follows :— 1. This Order may be cited as the Emergency Powers (Clearance (Famagusta District No. 2) Order, 1956. 2. The owners and occupiers of the land described in the Schedule hereto (hereinafter referred to as " the land "), and the agents of such owners and occupiers, are hereby directed to prevent any herbage, bush or undergrowth on the land from growing higher than one foot and to maintain the land in a clean condition to the satisfaction of the Area Commander, Famagusta.

SCHEDULE. The area of land in the Municipal area of Famagusta abutting on or lying within a distance of fifty yards of the following sections of public roads :— 1. Alexander Street from Franklin Roosevelt Avenue to Stavros Church. 2. Apostle Mark Street from Hesperidon Street to the eastern limit of plot 725, Block A, Stavros. 3. Apostolos Varnavas Street, from Constantine Street to Evagoras Avenue. 4. Ayia Eleni Street, on the west side from Fokas Street to Constantine Street. 5. Constantine Street, from King George V Avenue to Apostolos Varnavas Street. 6. Demetra Street, from English Cemetery Street to Prometheus Street. 7. Dherinia Road, from Phidias Street to the Municipal boundary. 8. Elektrikis Street, from Apostolos Varnavas Street to Evagoras Avenue. 9. Franklin Roosevelt Avenue, from Hercules Street to Odysseus Street and from Hera Street to Hippocrates Street. 10. Golden Sands Camp approach road, from Hesperidon Street to the camp (Sheet XXXIII.21.5.IV of the Government Survey plan). 11. Hecate Street, from Evagoras Avenue to Livadhion Street. 12. Hesperidon Street, from Alexander Street to Golden Sands Camp approach road. 13. Kato Varosha Street, from Demophon Street to the road leading to Hesiod Street immediately east of No. 8A Kato Varosha Street. 14. Larnaca Road, from the eastern extremity of plot 343 Block A Ayios Loukas (at the junction with Demetra Street) to the Municipal boundary. 15. Pelops Street from Salamis Road to the Supply Depot. 16. Plutarchus Street from Dherinia Road to Dionysus Street. 17. Salamis Road, from the Vita-Ora factory to the junction with the main road leading to Karaolos Camp. 17 18. Tekkelitika, from the sub-station of the Electricity Authority in an east-north-easterly direction to the junction of five roads appearing on Sheet XXXIII.20.6.1 of the Government Survey plan and thence in a north-easterly direction to the junction of Plutarchus and Dionysus Streets.

From the Municipal boundary of Famagusta to the south-eastern extremity of Akhyritou reservoir on the Famagusta-Larnaca road.
