From the deceitful and cunning rescue me, for you, O God, are my strength. Ps 43 (42):1-2 *********** Señor, hazme justicia. Defiende mi causa contra gente sin piedad, salvame del hombre injusto y malvado, tu que eres mi Dios y mi defensa. Salmo 42, 1-2 WARM HEART OF MERCY We find the warm and open heart of Jesus hard to take. It seems too good to be true that God is so forgiving. One way to understand God’s mercy is to allow ourselves to be forgiven and then show mercy. It is the mercy a parent shows when he still believes in their child who has done great wrong. The old adage teaches us that 'when a child really drives you mad, remember he has a mother who loves him’! Although it's difficult, it is helpful to literally see the mercy in the eyes of God. He looks at me or you - his son or daughter - who has a big disagreement (sin or spiritual pain) with Him.
