CONTRIBUTION TO NATIONAL DEVELOPMENT

1. Being an Active Member of the Muslim Peace Assembly (MPA), Peace Secretariat for Muslims for Ampara Sector, I, [Period: 2006 – 2011] Worked hard to restore peace in the war affected areas. Conducted peace awareness programs in many areas such as Kalmunai, Pottuvil, Akkaraipattu etc. Had discussion with Local Authorities, Mosque Leaders, Police, STF etc. Conducted programs on social security issues such as drug usage, contagious diseases, road security etc. Helped to conduct Language Classes (Tamil) in Digawabi, Ampara.

2. Research Assistant: Atomic Energy Authority of Sri Lanka, the Ministry of Technology: Involved or Assisted for successful completion of research work conducted by the Atomic Energy Authority of Sri Lanka operative under the Ministry of Technology and research by collecting rainwater samples from September 2012 to April 2014 at the rain water collecting station established in Pulmoddai and preparing the same for analysis responsibly.

3. Justice of Peace JP (Whole Island) [11/7/නැප/뷒/149] [2011 – To Date]:

Being a Whole Island JP, I am able to:Help general public to certify their letters, Admissions Cards for Examinations, Affidavit to meet their legal and official requirements.

4. Member, Civil Security Committee (ිǒ ආර槊ෂක ක鷔ව), Kalmunai Police Division, Kalmunai, 2012 – 2013. Being a Member of Civil Security Committee, I was able to conduct discussions with Mosque Leaders and Youth Clubs reading increased use of drugs by the youth and others and helped the Police in Kalmunai to get up-to-date information on various security issues such as robbery, drug use, movement of strangers in the areas.

6. Being a Project Manager: I was able to refurbish a building of a School in the Kalmunai Educational Zone. The Schools was hit by the Tsunami in 2004 and the school was I desperate need for an immediate refurbishment. I personally involved in this project from the proposal writing to implementation to completion of the project including the fund seeking. The Postgraduate Institute of Management (PIM) of the University of Sri Jayewardenepura. The project was funded by the US Fulbright Commission in Sri Lanka and the parents, students, and the school benefited for this project.
