No strength or capacity statements (75cl bottles). The wine has been stored in a perfect custom built cellar with an even temperature and humidity in Dunkeld, Scotland. Levels all low-bottom neck. The Lonach range of bottlings are created from the marriage of under-strength spirit from casks with an abv which has dropped below 40% and others with a strength above 40% bringing the aggregate to above 40%, thus allowing the product to be sold as Scotch Whisky. A section of my family runs through the area around the Cambus Distillery at Tullibody and I found these words in a collection of local poetry in which my ancestor William Burns is included the following mention: "Down, heels owre head, into the ditch; I've flounder'd wi' a bang ! Confound that Cambus whisky — I'm a' thegither wrang. Twa horns o' Eoiox's best I drank, Twa mae frae Willie Bell; And, jist to haud my stomach het, Anither frae the stell; But when I smelt the caller air, Ae fit I couldna gang; — Confound that Cambus whisky — I'm a' thegither wrang.
