We have created a presenting data such as the Census, Indices of Deprivation, and other neighbourhood weighted lookup from Output Areas to each parish, based on the GIS boundaries of each statistics. There are two layers to the SOA geography: ‘lower layer’ (LSOA) and ‘middle of the parishes, and Ordnance Survey AddressBase data on residential addresses, layer’ (MSOA). SOAs are designed to produce areas of roughly equal population size - provided by the council team to OCSI. 1,500 people for LSOAs and 7,200 for MSOAs. The majority of data used in this report is based on LSOA boundaries; of which there are 32,844 in England (there were changes For each Output Area, this weighted lookup identifies the proportion of residential to around 4% of LSOA definitions in Census 2011). properties that are located in the parish. We have used this lookup to create aggregated data for the parishes in Gloucestershire; this data is then presented in this report.
