Temple Book Club Tuesday, May 12 • 7:30 PM Temple Media Center The Jew Store by Stella Suberman and led by Jackie Berkelhamer is the true story of a man who started Bronson’s Low-Priced Store in Concordia, Tennes- see. They were the first Jews to live in this tiny town in 1920 with a population of 5,318. Told by Aaron’s youngest child, The Jew Store is that rare thing—an intimate family story that sheds new light on a piece of American history. Here is one man’s family with a twist—a Jew, born into poverty in pre-Revolutionary Russia and orphaned at birth, finds his way to America, finds a trade, finds a wife, and sets out to find his fortune in a place where Jews are unwelcome. page 4 Sandwich Salon: Women Connecting & Learning 2015 Men's Slow-Pitch Softball League Thanks to all of you who attended, Sandwich Salon had a wonderful inaugu- The Temple has two teams that play in the Synagogue Softball League, a men’s ral ‘year’!
