Categories Boys and Girls under 13, 15, 17 and 19 years. Players are only allowed to enter one category.

Eligibility Any player shall be entitled to enter providing that he/she is under the age of 13/15/17/19/ (according to the category entered on the closing date of the tournament. As specified by the European Squash Federation; to compete in all ESF registered events, all players, coaches, managers and other officials must be registered with ESF. This must be approved and validated by the relevant MNF.

The MNF is responsible for ensuring that all players, coaches, managers and other officials are registered with ESF prior to entry, and their entry is fully supported.

Recording of matches/Web Publishing/Live Streaming The recording of matches for coaching/performance analysis purposes is acceptable provided the player and/or their parents/coaches do not object. The Junior Open will be publishing draws, results, photos of players as well as live streaming.

Coaches All team or individual player coaches designated by their Nation as part of their event onsite management team( solely or in attendance with an appointed team manager)at any Championship held under the auspices of ESF must be ESF registered, i.e. have an ESID, as their licence to attend as a formal representative. This is required at the time of them being registered to attend by their National federation.

Seeding The seeding will be carried out by the European Junior Ranking valid at the closing date.

Matches All matches played will consist of the best of five sets, under the rules of the WSF. All players are guaranteed a minimum of three matches. The Tournament Organisers reserve the right to organize plate matches consisting of the best of three sets.

PAR 11 scoring (to 2 clear points) will be used.

Refereeing All players will be expected to mark and referee matches

Prizes There will be prize money in the under 19 Boys/Girls categories. In all other categories, there will be gift prizes.

Insurance Players enter and play in the tournament at their own risk. Neither the organisers nor the ESF will accept responsibility for any claims including for injury or accident arising from partiapation or for loss of property in this event . Suitable insurance must be organised by the player or the participating federation. All players have to wear approved protective eye guards on court.

Transport Players and officials will be picked-up and dropped off at railway station Sargans or Buchs ()

On all playing days there will be a public organized bus transfer service between the hotel and Squash-House- Vaduz.

Entries All entries must be made through / endorsed by a player’s national association. Any entry not approved by the player’s national association will not be accepted.

Web Publishing The 8th Liechtenstein Junior Open will be publishing draws, results, photos of players. As this is part of the 8th Liechtenstein Junior Open tournament rules, the Liechtenstein Squash Federation will deem that players and their parents have accepted these regulations by entering the tournament.

Cancellations

Package fees can not be refunded for any cancellations on or after 20th May 2019. For cancellations between 1st May and 20th May 2019 (inclusive) only 50% of the package fee (less bank charges) is refundable.

Seedings The seeding will be circulated to all players or their national associations by e-mail at least 7 days before the start of the event. Times of first matches will be indicated for their respective players.

Safeguarding, health and safety Adults interacting with juniors in the organisation and running of ESF Junior Circuit events are in a position of trust and influence. They should always ensure that junior players are treated fairly, with respect, and given suitable support. Tournaments should be run in a safe, positive and encouraging environment. The host Organising Committee, including Tournament Director and Tournament Referee should be trained in safeguarding children according to the host MNF national standards. The health and safety of all persons (players, officials, spectators, tournament staff) involved in or attending a tournament is of paramount importance. The Organising Committee, via the host MNF is responsible for ensuring an appropriate plan is in place for the tournament.

Wearing of approved eye protection on court is mandatory for this event. Players will not be allowed to compete without approved eye protection. Check WSF website.

ESF regulations & penalties The tournament is part of the ESF Junior Circuit and will be run in accordance with the ESF Junior Guidelines, a copy of which is available on the ESF website www.europeansquash.com. MNFs should make sure that all relevant people (including coaches, managers and players) are aware of the Guidelines and their requirements.
