Rally 2020開催に向けたテストイベント 「Central Rally Aichi /Gifu 2019」にWRカー2台が参戦！

WRC日本ラウンド招致準備委員会（株式会社サンズ内）は、 2020の開催に向けて、多くの方にWRC （FIA世界ラリー選手権）の魅力を知ってもらうとともに、運営に携わる組織・スタッフの習熟やFIAの医療査察など を実施するテストイベント「Central Rally Aichi/Gifu 2019（セントラル・ラリー愛知／岐阜2019）」を本年11月9〜 10日に開催します。本イベントに、TOYOTA GAZOO RacingからヤリスWRCと、ヒュンダイ・モータースポーツか らヒュンダイi20クーペWRCの、2台のトップクラス・ワークスカーが参戦することになりました。ヤリスWRCは勝田 貴元選手がドライブすることも決定しています。 Central Rally Aichi/ Gifu 2019は、こうしたRC1クラスのWRカーも含むオープンクラスのほか、日本スーパーラリ ーシリーズや、全日本選手権の各クラス車両が参戦できる枠組みを調整しています。また、競技の一部は観戦いた だけるエリアもご用意します。競技に関する詳細や観戦方法、チケット等につきましては、決定次第お知らせします。

競技コース 開催地 愛知県岡崎市、豊田市、新城市、長久手市、設楽町 岐阜県恵那市 距離 約150km（14SS合計）／約580km（リエゾン） 合計約730km 路面 ター マック Yaris WRC（ヤリスWRC） 2017年FIA世界ラリー選手権（WRC）に参戦開始したTOYOTA GAZOO Racingが走らせるWRC仕様のヤリス（日本名ヴィッツ）。 380馬力以上を発生する1.6リッター直4直噴ターボエンジンを搭載し、インテリジェント4WDシステムにより力強いトラクシ ョンを得る。参戦2年目の2018年度にはマニュファクチャラーズ選手権チャンピオンを獲得した。本イベントへの参戦ドラ イバーは、今季ドイツ戦からヤリスWRCで最上位クラスへのデビューが決まっている、地元長久手市出身の勝田貴元選手。

Hyundai i20 Coupe WRC（ヒュンダイ i20クーペWRC） 韓国の現代自動車がFIA世界ラリー選手権（WRC）に送り込んだ3ドアモデルのi20。2014年モンテカルロラリーでデビューし、 2017年の現行ワールドラリーカー規定に合わせた3ドアのクーペモデルを投入。参戦6年目の今年は悲願のタイトル獲得に 向けて体制を強化、前人未到のドライバー選手権9連覇を成し遂げたセバスチャン・ローブを加えた布陣で2019年シーズ ンに臨んでいる。本イベントへの参戦ドライバーは未定。

Rally Japan’s Test Event “Central Rally Aichi/Gifu 2019” Features Two WR Cars!

WRC Japan Round Bid Committee (c/o SAN’s) will host a test event for 2020 Rally Japan “Central Rally Aichi/Gifu 2019” on 9-10 November. The event not only demonstrates the attractiveness of the FIA (WRC), but aims to train members of the organisation and official staff, as well as to undergo an onsite test of the rally course and FIA medical delegate’s inspection. We have confirmed 2 top-class works cars, the Yaris WRC from TOYOTA GAZOO Racing and the Hyundai i20 Coupe WRC from , to take part in the event. On top of that, Takamoto Katsuta has been confirmed to be at the wheel of the Yaris WRC. Central Rally Aichi/Gifu 2019 will have a variety of cars on Open Class, Japan Super Rally Series and National Class. We will be offering spectator areas for visitors to see a part of the rally up close. Details on the competition will be released shortly.

The car features a 1.6-litre turbocharged, direct injection engine producing more than 380ps, and the intelligent 4WD system gives you powerful traction. The team won the manufacturers’ title in the 2018 FIA World Rally Championship. The driver to take part in this rally is a home-grown driver Takamoto Katsuta who will join the top category of the WRC with a Yaris WRC in Round 10, Rally Germany. Hyundai i20 Coupe WRC The Hyundai i20 Coupe WRC is entered by South Korea’s Hyundai Motorsport designed to meet the current WR car regulations. It is the successor to the 5-door i20 WRC used between 2015 and 2016. The year 2019 is the Korean marque’s 6th season in the WRC, and the nine-time world champion Sébastien Loeb has joined the team to claim the first title. The driver to take part in this rally is TBA. Andrea Adamo – Team Director, Hyundai Motorsport “We are very happy to join the Central Rally Aichi / Gifu in Japan at the end of this year on the way to with one WRC car. We will try to understand how this tarmac rally will be and help the organisers to prepare their race to win a space in the 2020 WRC calendar. For us, the Asian market is really important and therefore we are thrilled to join the event. Japan is not far from Korea so I even hope we will have the support from Korean fans along the stages. “
