GALWAY LADIES FOOTBALL Congratulations to the Galway Team in on reaching the All Ireland LGFA Final in Croke Park on Sunday at 4pm. Good Luck to the Dunmore Ladies, Sarah Conneally, Barbara Hannon, Lucy Hannon and Lorraine Meehan. This is a wonderful achievement for the county and club players and we wish them a great day! DUNMORE CHRISTMAS PANTOMINE Do you want to be a star in the Dunmore Christmas Panto - "Into the Woods" - another great panto written by Patricia King Callaghan. If so, please come to the Town Hall on Sunday 15th September at 4pm. It promises to be another great show. Hope to see lots there. COFFEE MORNING FOR GALWAY HOSPICE on Thursday 19th September 10-12pm in The Pantry, GRETB Centre. DUNMORE TIDY TOWNS wish to remind people who have relatives buried in Dunmore Cemetery to make use of the recycling and waste disposal facilities which have been provided by the committee. Please advise any committee member, if you notice any casual dumping in any part of the graveyard .We would like to take this opportunity to thank Mary Kenny for all her work in keeping the recycling Facilities in the graveyard in good order. We also extend our thanks to Niamh Divilly, Supervisor Rural social scheme and her team of environmental operatives for all their work. A special word of thanks to all the people who contributed to the graveyard collection which currently stands at €1300. If you haven't contributed yet you can hand your subscription in to David McDonagh, Bina Walsh, Joan Walkin. Thank you Dunmore Tidy Towns committee. D.A.R.A. All Welcome. ‘THE KINGS OF THE SIXTIES’ a night of celebration to recall the achievements of the great Dunmore MacHales Footballers of the 1960s will take place on 25th October in the Ard Ri Hotel, Tuam. The senior County Champions of 1961, 1963, 1966, 1986 & 1969 will be honoured at this function. A limited number of tickets at €50 each are still available from local GAA club officials. Built of exposed coursed rubble with cut stone dressings in 1832.Set back from road behind railings with an adjoining graveyard at rear. Building now derelict. 2 Bagot Tomb DURROW Box tomb with carved recumbent crusader effigy, side and end panels with inscriptions and 2 169710 271820 heraldic motifs, set above large mausoleum consisting of tumulus. Erected by John Lloyd Bagot of Ballmoe c1830 . Set within an enclosed ancient graveyard with numerous headstones. 5 Quinns Corn and Tuck CONAGHER Small mill complex consisting of two-bay two-storey former corn and tuck mill and ancillary 4 143300 264950 Mill structures, c. 1825. Erected on river bank. In derelict condition, internal fittings removed and now used for farm storage. 6 St Patrick's Church GARRAFRAUNS Single-cell five bay Roman Catholic church with rendered facade and cut-stone dressings to 4 145420 265170 pointed opes,buttresses and quoins, c. 1870. The interior has an open truss roof, balcony and stained glass windows. Renovated c. 1990. Set within small enclosed site that contains belfry serving as shelter for statue in grounds. 7 St. Mary's Church / KILTIVNA Single-cell Roman Catholic church with a seven bay side elevation, rendered facade, round 5 155140 267390 Church of Christ the headed opes and open truss roof, c. 1880. Renovated c. 1990. Set on elevated site.
