EBAN was established with the collaboration of the European Commission in 1999 by a group of pioneer angel networks in Europe and EURADA (the European Association of Development Agencies). EBAN gathers over 100 member organizations from 27 countries and is the only pan-European representative for the angel community. EBAN reaches out to 250 groups via direct or indirect membership, representing 20.000 angels and 40.000 entrepreneurs. EBAN has recently opened its membership to early stage venture capital funds (investing less than 3 million euros per transaction) in an effort to help all financial actors involving in closing the equity gap to collaborate and invest together. EBAN members are: Federations of business angel networks Business angel networks operating at European, national, regional level Early stage venture capital funds Organisations supporting access to investment at the early stage.
