We are truly “fueling the future” of the collision industry! LKQ Corporation Trustees-at-Large Among the highlights for 2011 was the record-breaking golf fundraiser Joseph Allen that took place in Salt Lake City in July. The event raised $60,000 towards CCC Information Services Inc. helping collision students, which doubled the amount raised during the Bill Daly 2010 event in Chicago. Staff did such a remarkable job of organization Allstate Insurance Company and execution during the annual fundraiser that it has become the gold Geralynn Kottschade standard for our industry. The fact that the 2012 fundraiser sold out six Jerry’s Body Shop, Inc. months in advance is evidence of that and we look forward to another Immediate Past Chairman great event. Chris Evans State Farm Insurance Companies The organization’s Ultimate Collision Education Makeover school grant, Trustees where a school’s collision program had their $50,000 wish list fulfilled, Tim Adelmann ABRA Autobody & Glass was a definite part of 2011. We held the ribbon cutting ceremony for our 2010 Makeover winning school, Bridgerland Applied Technology College Terry Angell (Logan, UT) in September and were proud to announce that the school’s Warren Tech collision program ended up receiving $125,000 in tools, equipment and Guy Bargnes supplies. During SEMA 2011, Applied Technology Center (Rock Hill, SC) Painters Supply and Equipment was announced as our newest Makeover winning school and they were Stacy Bartnik selected from over 70 applicants nationwide. The Makeover grant has CARSTAR come a long way since 2009 and we are proud to see its popularity with Domenic Brusco the schools and the industry members that make the grant possible.
