The bat fauna of the Gömör-Torna Karst region has been studied for several decades, in par ti cu lar that of the Aggtelek Karst (Hungary). The earliest research was mainly conducted in the well-known Baradla cave system, whilst other sites in the region were somewhat neglected. At the end of the 1980s a new research programme started, when studies on house-dwelling bat species and a comparative analysis of results was systematically carried out. These results played an important role in the conservation strategies for the protection of roosts (e.g. in churches). Some of these roosts were of international im por tan ce. During the third period of research, a survey of man-made caverns and of forest-dwelling bat po pu la ti ons began. This research revealed that 26 bat species inhabited the administrative area of the Aggtelek National Park (24 species in the proper area of the national park). These fi gures prove that there is a very rich bat fauna in terms of both species and their populations. The latest faunistical studies and the pro te cti on of these populations have both signifi cantly improved our knowledge on the distribution and occur ren ce of several species. At the same time, it became necessary to reassess all previous data. It aims to guarantee the effective and lasting preservation and protection of Jewish cemeteries and mass graves throughout the European continent. Identified by the Hebrew phrase Lo Tishkach (‘do not forget’), the Foundation is establishing a comprehensive publicly-accessible database of all Jewish burial grounds in Europe, currently featuring details on over 9,000 Jewish cemeteries and mass graves. Lo Tishkach is also producing a compendium of the different national and international laws and practices affecting these sites, to be used as a starting point to advocate for the better protection and preservation of Europe’s Jewish heritage. A key aim of the project is to engage young Europeans, bringing Europe’s history alive, encouraging reflection on the values that are important for responsible citizenship and mutual respect, giving a valuable insight into Jewish culture and mobilising young people to care for our common heritage. Mint az eddigi nemzetközi és hazai alkalmazásokból kitűnik, a ha.tásarány-analizis eredmé nyesen felhasználható a nemzeti jövedelem területi differenciálódásának, illetve a foglalkozási szerkezet változásának elemzéséhez. őPanalízis viszonylag egyszerű strukturális felépítettsége, illetve könnyű kezelhetősége megteremti a széles körű alkalmazás lehetőségét a területi kutatásokban is. A módszer rövid leírása A hatásarány-analízis, mint arra az elnevezés is utal, tulajdonképpen egy változás elemzési módszer, amelynek segítségével arra kaphatunk választ, hogy a vizsgált gazdasági szerkezeteket, mutatókat a területi, illetve a struk turális tényezők milyen mértékben alakítják. A módszert leggyakrabban a foglalkozta.tot.tak számának területi és strukturális vizsgálatához használják, ezért mutatjuk be az alapmodellt erre az esetre. GEOLOGY OF THE RHYOLITE-PERLITE EXTRUSIONS ALONG ÓSVA VALLEY, TELKIBÁNYA János Szepesi Department of Mineralogy and Geology, University of Debrecen szepesij@delfin. unideb. hu Abstract: Comparative analysis of subareal dome and lava flow activity could have been carried out in the Telkibánya acid palaeo-volcanic field. The composite (Cser Hill) or monogenetic (Ó-Gönc, Ork Hills) character and the relative erosion scale of the forms were determined on the basis of facies successions. The survey verified an acid palaeo-flow structure in the surroundings of Kőgát Hill. This flow was dissected by both horizontal (vent, flow region) and vertical sections (facies zones) on the basis of outlining textural domains and structural elements. Due to regional concen- trations of perlite raw material research, comparative facies geochemistry description could have been carried out. Oxidation processes caused sharp element ratio changes in the outer brecciated- vesiculated and in the inner devitrificational zones. In the case of perlite facies the progression of hydration and ion exchange processes was accompanied by the decrease of volume weight, leaching of Na.20 and Si02 and increasing ratio of K20 and A1203. INTRODUCTION AND HISTORICAL REVIEW The acid lavas of the Eperjes-Tokaj (Slanské-Zemplínske) Mountains are em- placed in unique diversity amongst the members of the Inner Carpathian volcanic chain.
