INSTRUCTIONS TO CHAIRPERSONS AND PRESENTERS Every session lasts 105 minutes and includes 2 – 5 presentations. Out of that, 60-80 minutes are for presentations and 25-45 minutes for discussion. • If there are 2 presentations in the session, each presentation is given 30 minutes, 45 minutes are left for discussion. • If there are 3 presentations in the session, each presentation is given 25 minutes, 30 minutes are left for discussion. • If there are 4 presentations in the session, each presentation is given 20 minutes, 25 minutes are left for discussion. • If there are 5 presentations in the session, each presentation is given 15 minutes, 30 minutes are left for discussion. Both chairpersons and presenters are asked strictly to stick to the given time in order to enable participants to move from one session to another. Chairpersons are encouraged to signal presenters about their remaining time and to ensure smooth development of sessions. TECHNICAL EQUIPMENT The equipment for power point presentation will be available in every room. Presentations must be consigned to the room staff no later than 30 minutes before the beginning of each session. REGISTRATION Registration will start at 13.30 on 11 November 2009. When arriving at IFAD headquarters in Via Paolo di Dono 44, you have to enter the main guardhouse located at the front access of the building, where you will be asked to provide an Identification document (ID) to the Security Guards, which will be returned after your participation has been verified. A conference pass for the duration of the meeting will be provided for 3 days. If your name does not appear in the list of participants confirmed to attend, you will be asked to register each day as a regular visitor and your ID will be retained till the end of each day. Each participant will receive a name badge upon check-in at the Registration Desk. The badge must be visible throughout the duration of the Conference in order to be admitted to the Conference Halls. LUNCHES A staff restaurant is available for Conference participants. Tickets are available on site. COFFEE BREAKS Coffee breaks are complimentary for three days. Details below are provided to help you get to the Rome center from the airports. From Fiumicino Airport Train Every 30 minutes: from 6:37 to 23:37 Every 30 minutes: from 5:52 to 22:52 The Leonardo Express is a non-stop train service which takes you from Fiumicino airport to Termini Station (the main train and subway station in the centre of Rome) in approximately 31 minutes and costs 11 Euro. From Termini Station you can take the Metro Line B (direction Laurentina) 11 stops to Laurentina station (it’s the last stop). From Fiumicino airport you can also take trains for: Roma Tiburtina; Fara Sabina; Poggio Mirteto and Orte . When taking these trains you should get off at Roma Ostiense station. These trains stop at every station and your Journey will take approximately 28 minutes to go from Fiumicino airport to Roma Ostiense and will cost 5.50 Euro. The Rome Ostinese train station is connected to the Piramide Line B metro stop. Take the Laurentina direction and get off at Laurentina station (it’s the last stop). From Ciampino Airport Terravision shuttle The is not rail connection to Ciampino airport. A shuttle bus is provided by Terravision. The service connects Ciampino airport to Termini central station. For additional details see: www.terravision.eu/rome_ciampino.html From Termini station you can take a Metro B to Laurentina station (last stop). ROME: USEFUL INFORMATION Taxi: Taxis in Rome can be hailed by phone or found at the official taxi ranks. Tel. +39 06 35 70, +39 06 6645, +39 06 5551, +39 06 4994 Bus: Rome has a comprehensive network of local bus routes. The underground (Metro) has two lines, Linea A (red) and Linea B (blue). The two lines intersect at Termini railway station. Tickets for public transport should be purchased in advance and can be purchased at a "Tabaccheria" at the Airport and Termini Station and from the automatic machines at the subway stations. Tickets cost 1 Euro (approximately US$ 1.40). Tickets may be used once for underground (metro) transport and unlimited bus travel within the ticket validation time of 75 minutes. Tickets are validated upon entering bus/tram or at the point of entrance to the Metro. There are also day tickets valid for a whole day on the entire bus and metro network. Tips: Restaurant bills include a service charge. However, it is common practice to leave a small tip. Voltage: Electricity in Italy is supplied at 220 V - 50 Hz AC. Foreign appliances may require an adaptor. SHOPPING IN ROME Main shopping streets: Piazza di Spagna, Via Condotti, Via del Babuino, Via del Corso, Via del Tritone, Via Cola di Rienzo. Antiques: Via Margutta, Via dei Coronari, Via Giulia. Flea market: Porta Portese, open on Sunday mornings. Shop opening hours : 9:00 - 13:00; 16:30 - 20:00. Restaurant opening hours: 12:00 - 15:00; 19:30 - 23:00. Tickets cost €4-6 one-way and €8/12 return trip; the journey lasts ca. 1 hour, but traffic during peak hours can severely delay the buses.

Una buona parte della prima ondata di esuli si diresse verso le grandi città del Nord Italia (Trieste, Genova, Venezia, Torino, Milano, Varese, Brescia) spinti dalla voglia di non allontanarsi troppo dai propri dialetti, costumi e luoghi di origine, magari con la speranza di poter tornare in periodo di pace e contando, sicuramente, nelle grandi industrie del Nord per un lavoro sicuro. Anche il Sud Italia fu capace di assorbirne una parte, sviluppando un programma edilizio nelle città di Pescara, Taranto, Napoli, Messina, Catania, Sassari ed in altre.

    AGEVOLAZIONI TARIFFARIE con limite di reddito ISEE 1. Chi può fruire delle Agevolazioni Tariffarie sul TPL con limite di reddito ISEE? TUTTI i cittadini residenti nel territorio della Regione Lazio con un reddito ISEE non superiore ai 25.000 €. Sono state introdotte anche delle agevolazioni rivolte a tutti i nuclei familiari residenti nel territorio della Regione Lazio senza limitazioni di reddito ISEE dettagliate dal punto 51. 2. Qual è la percentuale di agevolazione di cui è possibile usufruire? La percentuale di agevolazione è del 30% (applicata sull’importo intero del titolo di viaggio selezionato). E’ inoltre possibile usufruire di diverse maggiorazioni. 3. A quanto corrispondono le maggiorazioni e come posso usufruirne? Le maggiorazioni sono di due tipologie di seguito dettagliate. Maggiorazione del 20% per disagio sociale e/o particolari condizioni familiari in uno dei seguenti casi: Reddito ISEE non superiore ad Euro 15.000,00; Minore orfano di uno o entrambi i genitori; Mutilato e/o invalido di guerra; Disabile ovvero presenza nel nucleo familiare di un disabile definito ai sensi e per gli effetti della Legge 104/92, nel caso di accertamento di handicap grave (Legge 104/92, articolo 3 comma 3); Nucleo mono genitoriale con almeno un figlio a carico; Nucleo familiare con almeno 4 figli a carico. Maggiorazioni del 10%, 20% e 30% nel caso in cui si acquistino più abbonamenti nello stesso nucleo familiare: 10% per l’acquisto del SECONDO abbonamento nello stesso nucleo familiare; 20% per l’acquisto del TERZO abbonamento nello stesso nucleo familiare; 30% per l’acquisto dal QUARTO abbonamento nello stesso nucleo familiare.

How to get to the conference venue from Fiumicino airport 2.1 By taxi It takes approximately 45 minutes (in average) to get from Fiumicino airport to “Via della Madonna dei Monti, 40”. Taxi service is available at Terminal 1 and Terminal 3 and authorized Taxi vehicles are white with a “TAXI” sign on the roof. The symbol of the Municipality of reference is fixed to the front doors and the licence number is on the doors, on the back and inside the vehicle.
