Allah menganjurkan untuk berdoa agar mengaruniai seorang anak sesuai dengan hajat dari kedua orang tuanya, sebagaimana yang ada dalam QS. al-Furqan ayat 14: َوٱ َّل ِذي َن يَقُولُو َن َربَّنَا َه ْب َلنَا ِم ْن أَ ْز ََٰو ِجنَا َوذُ ِ ر َٰيَّتِنَا قُ َّرةَ أَ ْعيُ ٍن َوٱ ْجعَ ْلنَا ِل ْل ُمتَّ ِقي َن إ ِ َما ًم ا Resya Maulida, Akhmad Dasuki, Nor Faridatunnisa Terjemah Qur’an Kemenag: “Dan orang-orang yang berkata:” Ya Tuhan kami, anugrahkanlah kepada kami isteri-isteri kami dan keturunan kami sebagaipenyenang hati (kami) dan jadikanlah kami imam bagi orang-orang yang bertakwa”.

Abstract Human rights are the basic standards that people need to live in dignity. In addition to the rights that are available to all people, there are rights that apply only to children. Children need special rights because of their unique needs; they need additional protection that adults don’t. The United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child is an international document that sets out all of the rights that children have – a child is defined in the Convention as any person under the age of 18. On the other hand Islam recognises family as a basic social unit. Along with the husband-wife relationship the Parent-child relationship is the most important one. To maintain any social relationship both parties must have some clear-cut Rights as well as obligations. The relationships are reciprocal. Duties of one side are the Rights of the other side. So in Parent-child relationship the Rights of parents are the obligations (duties) of the children and vice versa, the Rights of children are obligations (duties) of parents. Islam clearly defines the Rights of Parents (which mean duties of children) and obligations of parents (which means Rights of children).

SURAH LUQMAN – AAYAAT 12-15 Interpretation of the Selected Verses Aayaat of Surah Luqman And We had certainly given Luqman wisdom [and said], "Be grateful to Allah." And whoever is grateful is grateful for [the benefit of] himself. And whoever denies [His favor] - then indeed, Allah is Free of need and Praiseworthy. And [mention, O Muhammad], when Luqman said to his son while he was instructing him, "O my son, do not associate [anything] with Allah. Indeed, association [with him] is great injustice." And We have enjoined upon man [care] for his parents. His mother carried him, [increasing her] in weakness upon weakness, and his weaning is in two years. Be grateful to Me and to your parents; to Me is the [final] destination. But if they endeavor to make you associate with Me that of which you have no knowledge, do not obey them but accompany them in [this] world with appropriate kindness and follow the way of those who turn back to Me [in repentance]. • The Conceptual Elements of the Development Worldview in the Qur'an: a Study of Thematic Exegesis
American International Journal of Social Science Vol. 2 No. 3; May 2013 The Conceptual Elements of the Development Worldview in the Qur’an: A Study of Thematic Exegesis Mohd Shukri Hanapi, Ph.D Lecturer of Islamic Development Management Program Centre for Islamic Development Management Studies (ISDEV) School of Social Sciences Universiti Sains Malaysia 11800 Penang, Malaysia. Abstract This paper aims to identify and analyze selected verses of the Qur'an that are related to the conceptual elements of the development worldview (tasawwur). Development worldview here refers to the comprehensive view and a true and correct picture of Islamic-based development (IbD). It aims to explain the whole characteristics of the IbD holistically, as the basis of all development activities in human life. In the Qur'an, the verses of the conceptual elements of the development worldview are actually located separately in many chapters (surah). The question then is which ones of the verses could be accounted as the verses of the development worldview? What are the conceptual elements of the development worldview in the Qur'an that could be constructed from these verses? This paper attempts to seek for the answer through three main purposes. Firstly, to identify the selected verses of the Qur'an that is related to the development worldview. Secondly, using a thematic exegesis approach, to analyze the identified Quranic verses of the development worldview; and thirdly, to develop the conceptual elements of the development worldview based on the identified verses of the Qur‘an. The main objects studied in this paper are the Quranic verses themselves.

HOW TO READ THE QURAN PDF, EPUB, EBOOK Mona Siddiqui | 128 pages | 03 Jul 2014 | GRANTA BOOKS | 9781783780273 | English | London, United Kingdom The Noble Quran | This will give you a foundation from which to start, and some understanding of the vocabulary and message of the Quran. Some places to gain this knowledge:. The Quran was revealed in the Arabic language , and the original text has remained unchanged in that language since the time of its revelation. If you do not read Arabic, you'll need to obtain a translation, which is, at best, an interpretation of the Arabic meaning. Translations vary in their style and their faithfulness to the Arabic original. As an accompaniment to the Quran, it is helpful to have an exegesis , or commentary, to refer to as you read along. While many English translations contain footnotes, certain passages may need extra explanation or need to be placed in a complete context. A variety of good commentaries are available at bookstores or on-line retailers. The Quran challenges the reader to think about its message, ponder its meaning, and accept it with understanding rather than blind faith. The Quran is the central text in the religion of Islam. The holy book of the Quran includes Surah. The revelation place of these Surah is different, for example, some revealed in Makkah, and some revealed in Madina. The word Quran is in the holy book of the Quran 70 times. The holy book of the Quran itself describes its importance. There is countless Ayah, which narrates the significance of the Quran as the Holy book.

Whoever seeks guidance from it receives it. As its wisdom is complete and perfect its guidance is thorough-leaves no aspect of material or spiritual life, individual as well as collective, unattended, and invariably leads to truth, goodness and salvation-and its practicability depends on the intellect and taqwa (awareness of the laws made by Allah in both the creative and legislative realms and its application in minutest detail in day to day life) of the person who puts it into practice. See commentary of Baqarah: 2 to 5, 177, and Ali Imran: 138. The availability of such an all-encompassing and comprehensive guidance is a mercy from Allah. { ُھﺪًى َو َر ْﺣ َﻤﺔً ِﻟ ْﻠ ُﻤ ْﺤ ِﺴﻨِﯿ َﻦ {3 [Pooya/Ali Commentary 31:3] (see commentary for verse 2) {اﻟﱠ ِﺬﯾ َﻦ ﯾُ ِﻘﯿ ُﻤﻮ َن اﻟ ﱠﺼ َﻼةَ َوﯾُ ْﺆﺗُﻮ َن اﻟ ﱠﺰ َﻛﺎةَ َو ُھ ْﻢ ﺑِﺎ ْﻵ ِﺧ َﺮةِ ُھ ْﻢ ﯾُﻮﻗِﻨُﻮ َن {4 [Pooya/Ali Commentary 31:4] (see commentary for verse 2) ٰ ٰ {أُوﻟَﺌِ َﻚ َﻋﻠَ ٰﻰ ُھﺪًى ِﻣ ْﻦ َرﺑِّ ِﮭ ْﻢ ۖ َوأُوﻟَﺌِ َﻚ ُھ ُﻢ ا ْﻟ ُﻤ ْﻔ ِﻠ ُﺤﻮ َن {5 [Pooya/Ali Commentary 31:5] (see commentary for verse 2) ٰ { َو ِﻣ َﻦ اﻟﻨﱠﺎ ِس َﻣ ْﻦ ﯾَ ْﺸﺘَ ِﺮي ﻟَ ْﮭ َﻮ ا ْﻟ َﺤ ِﺪﯾ ِﺚ ِﻟﯿُ ِﻀ ﱠﻞ َﻋ ْﻦ َﺳﺒِﯿ ِﻞ ا ﱠِ ﺑِﻐَ ْﯿ ِﺮ ِﻋ ْﻠ ٍﻢ َوﯾَﺘﱠ ِﺨﺬَ َھﺎ ُھ ُﺰ ًوا ۚ أُوﻟَﺌِ َﻚ ﻟَ ُﮭ ْﻢ َﻋﺬَا ٌب ُﻣ ِﮭﯿ ٌﻦ {6 [Pooya/Ali Commentary 31:6] It is related that in the time of the Holy Prophet there was a pagan Nadhr ibn al Harith who went to Syria for trade and brought back stories of Persian heroes, with which he allured the crowds of the Quraysh and persuaded them to believe that his stories were preferable to the word of Allah.
