This study will examine Ibn Khaldun’s theory of ‘Asabiyyah and the application of this theory within the modern Malaysian Muslim community. Certain dynasties or states were built on the notion of ‘Asabiyyah including Muslim governments in various regions of the world. However, Muslims these days are facing different challenges within this understanding of ‘Asabiyyah. These include integration, disunity within the same group, problems of immorality, criminality, social and internal and external problems. This study implies that addressing the issue of ‘Asabiyyah is a key to find solution to the malaise of the nation. Who were these prophets? Where did they live? Who were they sent to? What are their names in the Quran and the Bible? And what are some of the miracles they performed? We will answer these simple questions. Before we begin, we must understand two matters: a. In Arabic two different words are used, Nabi and Rasool. A Nabi is a prophet and a Rasool is a messenger or an apostle. The two words are close in meaning for our purpose. b. There are four men mentioned in the Quran about whom Muslim scholars are uncertain whether they were prophets or not: Dhul-Qarnain (18:83), Luqman (Chapter 31), Uzair (9:30), and Tubba (44:37, 50:14). 1. Aadam or Adam is the first prophet in Islam. He is also the first human being according to traditional Islamic belief. Adam is mentioned in 25 verses and 25 times in the Quran. God created Adam with His hands and created his wife, Hawwa or Eve from Adam’s rib. -

Chief among these ideological sects and groups is Sālimīyah sect, that belongs to its founder, Abul-Hassan Al-Basry Ahmad bin Mohammad bin Salem, who died in (297) AH / (909) AD. Sālimīyah sect is an Islamic ideological group that emerged in the middle of the third century AH / mid-tenth century AD. In fact, one of the most problematic issues of this study is that there are no ideological books for Sālimīyah sect available in our time. Few scholars mentioned the ideological views of Sālimīyah sect and we could hardly find any other academic studies that have considered these views. What really distinguishes this study is its ability to scrutinize for the first time the emergence of Sālimīyah sect from a historical point of view. Moreover, this research studies Sālimīyah sect's ideological views related to the Divine Self in particular. The scientific approaches used in the study are the extrapolative approach, the analytical approach and the comparative approach. Selanjutnya, makalah ini menguraikan keberadaan masalah dan melihat lebih dalam ke dalam implementasi masalah sebagai dasar untuk pengembangan hukum Islam di Indonesia. Makalah ini adalah yuridis normatif menggunakan pendekatan doktrinal. Pada akhirnya, dapat disimpulkan bahwa konsepsi maslahah adalah metode penggalian hukum Islam yang didasarkan pada aspek manfaat dan kebaikan bagi manusia selama tidak bertentangan dengan norma syariah Islam. Selain itu, implementasi masalah sebagai dasar untuk penemuan hukum Islam di Indonesia tidak dapat disangkal. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari daruratnya undang-undang atau peraturan di bawahnya yang mengatur berbagai aspek hukum Islam di Indonesia dalam menanggapi masalah kehidupan masyarakat sebagai dampak dari zaman dan teknologi. Kata Kunci: eksistensi, maslahah mursalah, hukum Islam. Abstract This paper aims to analyze the conception of maslahah in the discourse of the development of Islamic law. Furthermore, this paper elaborates the existence of maslahah mursalah and looks deeper into the implementation of maslahah as a basis for the development of Islamic law in Indonesia. This paper is normative juridical using a doctrinal approach. In the end, it can be concluded that the conception of maslahah is a method of extracting Islamic law which is based on aspects of benefit and goodness for humans as long as it does not conflict with Islamic sharia norms. -

It is a unique power, springing up in heart and spreading all over the body, and being exhibited in the actions. There is a strong tie between iman and all the aspects of life. In this respect, the Prophet Muhammad (saw) referred to this fact when he said, "Iman has seventy something branches. “The most virtuous of them is 'La ilaha illallah (there is none worthy of worship except Allah)' and the least of which is removing something harmful from the road. An Islamic CSR (i-CSR) framework is vital in guiding the CSR strategies, policies and practices of Islamic institutions. Design/Methodology/Approach-This notion of CSR in Islam is proposed by incorporating the concept of tawhid and integrating the principles of Maqasid Syariah (Islamic Law) and Maslahah (public good) which completes the mission of mankind on earth i.e. the absolute submission to his obligations in the performance of ibadah, dakwah and as a khalifah. Issa Dept. of English & Translation, Jadara University, PO box 733, Irbid, Jordan Abstract This study is devoted to discuss the renditions of the prophets' names in the Holy Quran due to the authority of the religious text where they reappear, the significance of the figures who carry them, the fact that they exist in many languages, and the fact that the Holy Quran addresses all mankind. The data are drawn from two translations of the Holy Quran by Ali (1964), and Al-Hilali and Khan (1993). It examines the renditions of the twenty five prophets' names with reference to translation strategies in this respect, showing that Ali confused the conveyance of six names whereas Al-Hilali and Khan confused the conveyance of four names. Discussion has been raised thereupon to present the correct rendition according to English dictionaries and encyclopedias in addition to versions of the Bible which add a historical perspective to the study. Introduction In Prophets’ names comprise a significant part of people's names which in turn constitutes a main subdivision of proper nouns which include in addition to people's names the names of countries, places, months, days, holidays etc. In terms of translation, many translators opt for transliterating proper names thinking that transliteration is a straightforward process depending on an idea deeply rooted in many people's minds that proper nouns are never translated or that the translation of proper names is as Vermes (2003:17) states "a simple automatic process of transference from one language to another."
