Read Book She-Hulk by Dan Slott: the Complete Collection SHE-HULK BY DAN SLOTT: THE COMPLETE COLLECTION: VOLUME 1 PDF, EPUB, EBOOK Paul Pelletier,Juan Bobillo,Dan Slott | 416 pages | 25 Feb 2014 | Marvel Comics | 9780785154402 | English | New York, United States She-Hulk by Dan Slott: the Complete Collection: Volume 1 PDF Book I didn't like it enough to read the rest of his run though. There's a marriage, some mucking around with Thanos, ties in with different perspectives on Civil War and Planet Hulk and enough meta 4th wall commentary to please the average geek. Each issue features a case in court, mostly involving simplified legal cases with superheroes. Lists with This Book. For starters, t's boring. Refer to eBay Return policy for more details. Skrull Tony fought with her and then boned her because this comic is terrible. Seller assumes all responsibility for this listing. Not a title I read when I was a comic collector, however reading this collection made me wish I had. All this and the action-packed origin of Awesome Andy! Kind of wish they would have left it with him banished from the planet and no redemption arch, but it is what it is. And after the Illuminati shoot the Hulk into spac She-Hulk's strange adventures continue as she takes on her first superhuman sexual assualt case - against fellow Avenger Starfox! Want It. The man she went against in this case, Holden, eventually hires her for his own firm. Only with exploding cyborgs and interstellar tribunals and a Tony Stark I wanna punch in the mouth. However, I will concede that Slott is undoubtedly one of the better writers I know of who have gone for this approach; his sense of narrative pace seems pretty adept, and he succeeds in telling a reasonably complete and satisfying tale each issue. And there's some predictable fighting. There's a line from Janet Van Dyne when Jen doesn't want to shift back into her usual body for work and Jan says "You're the only woman I've met that is actually upset about slimming down to a size 4. The stories are creative. Fariha rated it really liked it Jul 28, The guy who fought to limit access to the superhuman database to SHIELD and later his own head , would never be okay with outing everyone to the public this way. You know you're in for a treat with a Dan Slott comic book. View 1 comment. Just no weak issues. Slott has a good handle on existing continuity and mythos, and isn't afraid to use it in his stories. Watch list is full. Other editions. And hilarious. Another thing I love: Awesome Andy, the android I think that's what he is? Even the endless talking does not annoy me endlessly. And the "" issue is SO damn good. Volume 2 of this collection is already overdue at the library, so I'm eager to plow through it and write a longer review covering the whole run by Dan Slott. But it's Juan Bobillo artwork that proves to be the most charming and quirky. She-hulk, both the character and the title, didn't take themselves too seriously. Jul 14, Andy rated it really liked it Shelves: comics , library-or-borrowed. She-Hulk looks chubby, which would be fine if that's what her character was supposed to look like. Seller assumes all responsibility for this listing. Learn More - opens in a new window or tab International shipping and import charges paid to Pitney Bowes Inc. May 28, Nisha B. I really find it interesting how Slott manages to balance the Jen side with the She-Hulk side of the character. Read more If you die because of a Hulk rampage, does your life insurance pay out? She-Hulk by Dan Slott: the Complete Collection: Volume 1 Writer I have a big crush on Jennifer and I could not recommend this series more! I loved the plotlines--they were fun and the characterizations were interesting. Benno rated it really liked it Jun 07, Part of it also takes place after World War Hulk. The overall result is a little more uneven than the first volume, but about as good. Each issue features a case in court, mostly involving simplified legal cases with superheroes. This was a solo Jennifer Walters series and I came out of this a fan! I really enjoyed this, in some ways I found it more consistent than the first volume which started really strong but then sagged once they moved onto the second part. I really like the first book. She-Hulk is a favorite of mine because not only is she a high powered attorney, she is also a superhero, a tough bitch, and an occasional girly girl. But for the most part, the illustrations were adequate. A visual treat and it made the Paul Pelletier parts that much less enjoyable. Other than the green skin, She-Hulk doesn't remind me of her male counterpart at all. May 16, Craig rated it really liked it. And after the Illuminati shoot the Hulk into space, S. Part of it also takes place during Civil War so you get to see what she does when she finds out what the Illuminati did to the Hulk. There are some great moments Howard berating George Lucas! The This whole run is turning out to be a fantastic collection of short character-driven stories. I know the side characters. Print Digital Both Media Format. Great bits. Special financing available. And from there - let the creativity begin! And the foray to Duckworld is perfect. Seriously, I really liked it. The stories themselves The only catch is and it's a big one , her employer demands that she work as Jennifer Walters, and shed her super-powered form while on the job. Oct 25, Shannon Appelcline rated it really liked it Shelves: comics , comics-marvel. I think maybe it was just a little more"light" than I am used to, and I kept getting started by other books. Other editions. Delivery times may vary, especially during peak periods. This is the reward for investing an unhealthy amount of my lifetime reading time into funny books - these little callbacks give me just enough of a serotonin hit to keep me coming back no matter how exhausted I might become of the endless nature of this storytelling universe. Finally, the finale 21 is a fun explanation for continuity mess-ups. For example, what do you do with a ten-foot tall android who gains sentience, but has the intelligence and experience of a 12 year old? The divide between Jen Walters and She-Hulk becomes even more pronounced, an inner conflict which takes shape in the wake of the passing of the Superhuman Registration Act. I didn't like it enough to read the rest of his run though. Change country: -Select- United States There are 1 items available. Get the item you ordered or get your money back. She-Hulk by Dan Slott: the Complete Collection: Volume 1 Reviews In that case, we can't Awesome Andy Overall, it just didn't connect for me and seemed like a bit of a missed opportunity. He does a great job of illustrating both sides of Jennifer Walters' character--the fairly buttoned-down lawyer and the more chaotic She-Hulk within. Am I missing something here? This is the ultimate in how to do a super-heroine comic book right. Something comics forget to be. These stories are highly accessible, which makes them a great read for anyone unfamiliar with comic books or the world of the Marvel Universe. I can't believe it took me a whole year to finish this book. Picture Information. Sell now - Have one to sell? My fav part was when she is chosen to be a Space Judge and has to fight the Champion. Only with explod Great bits. Plus: No one hates She-Hulk more than Titania! The premise is simple. She-Hulk Jennifer Walters moves out of Avengers Mansion and joins a law firm specializing in super-hero law. I've been reading Slott's Spider-Man and thought I would try this collection. I mean, I pretty much hated it so I went into this praying it would at least be entertaining. Everyone's favorite Jade Giantess, She-Hulk, has returned for tons of fun, both on and off the field of battle! Jun 23, Drown Hollum rated it really liked it Shelves: superhero. What else About Dan Slott. There are major issues of consent around the entire Starfox arc that make me uncomfortable and have a weird resolution. She fights and fights and fights. It bounces a lot. Back to home page Return to top. In short, this is a case of the week show waiting to happen. She-Hulk by Dan Slott: the Complete Collection: Volume 1 Read Online Overall, it just didn't connect for me and seemed like a bit of a missed opportunity. What makes her one of the deadliest threats in the universe? The last two issues are a single story. Ready to put old issues behind and make a fresh start. Civil War 8. Other Editions One that rising above the thousands of other books I've read. She-Hulk 7. Add to Watchlist Unwatch. She-Hulk was smart, sexy, strong, and funny. Escape the Present with These 24 Historical Romances. I also dislike the pacing. Jan 29, Angie rated it really liked it Shelves: series. But everything changes when Jennifer is suddenly fired from her job and kicked out of the Avenger's mansion for "abusing some of [her] Avengers privileges.

By Lyndsey Erin Shelton Under the mentorship of Dr. Darin H. Van Tassell ABSTRACT It is a widely accepted notion that a child can only be called stupid for so long before they believe it, can only be treated in a particular way for so long before that is the only way that they know. Why is that notion never applied to how we treat, address, and present religion and the religious to children and young adults? In recent years, questions have been continuously brought up about how we portray violence, sexuality, gender, race, and many other issues in popular media directed towards young people, particularly video games.
