    Liverpool Street bus station closed - changes to routes 11, 23, 133, N11 and N133 The construction of the new Crossrail ticket hall in Liverpool Street is progressing well. In order to build a link between the new ticket hall and the Underground station, it will be necessary to extend the Crossrail hoardings across Old Broad Street. This will require the temporary closure of the bus station from Sunday 22 November until Spring 2016. Routes 11, 23 and N11 Buses will start from London Wall (stop ○U) outside All Hallows Church. Please walk down Old Broad Street and turn right at the traffic lights. The last stop for buses towards Liverpool Street will be in Eldon Street (stop ○V). From there it is 50 metres to the steps that lead down into the main National Rail concourse where you can also find the entrance to the Underground station. Buses in this direction will also be diverted via Princes Street and Moorgate, and will not serve Threadneedle Street or Old Broad Street. Routes 133 and N133 The nearest stop will be in Wormwood Street (stop ○Q). Please walk down Old Broad Street and turn left along Wormwood Street after using the crossing to get to the opposite side of the road.     Road Danger Reduction and Active Travel Plan 2018 - 2023 Department of the Built Environment City Transportation Foreword _ 3 Foreword As the Chairman of Planning and Transportation, I am pleased to present our approach to reducing road danger and promoting active travel on our streets. The ambition of this plan is to create a safer, healthier and more habitable City for everyone, whether resident, employee or visitor. I am committed to reducing causalities on our street and aiming towards a vision of zero deaths and serious injuries. In recent years we have adopted several engineering measures such as redesigning Holborn Circus and the removal of the Aldgate gyratory thereby delivering safer streets and creating a new public square. We have commenced the radical and potentially transformative Bank on Safety experiment at Bank Junction. I have welcomed the new Chairman of Planning and Transportation Committee Cycle Superhighways and introduced the first Christopher Hayward CC cycling Quietway routes in the City of London. We have made great progress in reducing the number of cyclist casualties on our streets even with the year on year increase in cyclist numbers. However, the same does not apply to pedestrians, where the growth in pedestrian numbers has resulted in an increase in pedestrian casualties. More radical action is clearly needed, and this document sets out our approach to delivering Vision Zero, a major component of the Healthy Streets Agenda. The City is growing. The arrival of Crossrail and increased Tube line capacity will result in considerable increases in people walking, in particular on key routes and junctions.
