Exhibitors should be familiar with the full Terms & Conditions which can be found at – www.bathandwest.com. Reception of Animals Wednesday 12:00noon to 7:00pm All stock Thursday 8:00am to 8:00pm All Stock incl Trade Stands Saturday 6:00pm to 8:00pm Dairy Calves Departure of Animals Animals may be loaded: From 4:00pm Saturday Stock Gate Will be closed between 8:30am and 7:00pm each day. Caravans, motorhomes, tents, trailers etc used by Stock Exhibitors staying on site during the Show, must be located in the Stock Exhibitor Camping Exhibitors’ Camping Park for Emergency Services reasons. No electricity is provided but the use of silent diesel generators is permitted from 9:00am to 5:00pm. The Show will allocate stalls and pens after entries close and Stalling & Penning reserves the right to amend as necessary. Pens: 5 or more individual animal entries – 5 pens per breed 4 individual animal entries – 2 pens per breed Sheep Kit pens: each exhibitor will be allocated ONE kit pen only even if showing more than one breed Winning exhibitors will be issued with a prize money voucher redeemable during the show. Vouchers not presented may be Payment of Prizes submitted to the Entries Office no later than 14 days after the last (Reg 59) day of the Show together with bank details to enable payment via BACS. NO CHEQUES WILL BE ISSUED. Championship prize money will be paid after the show. 1 Public Catering Restaurant Bar Wednesday 12noon - 8:00pm 12noon – 8pm (light refreshments) Thursday 7:30am - 9:30pm 1:00pm – 11:00pm Friday 6:30am - 9:30pm 11:00am – 12midnight Saturday 6:30am - 9:30pm 11:00am – 1:00am Sunday 6:00am - 6:00pm 11:0am – 6:00pm Saturday evening - Tickets available from the Stock office - £10 each Stockmens’ Supper non-refundable. Discount breakfast vouchers will be provided for Saturday morning. Smoking (including E-cigarettes) is not allowed in any of the livestock Smoking buildings, sheep lines, dairy, parlour or any indoor areas. Owners of (Reg 10) animals being exhibited will be held responsible for the behaviour of their stockpersons and for the consequences of any misconduct. Competence of Exhibitors All Exhibitors must have the physical ability and experience and be (Reg 21) competent to handle animals in their charge. Removal of Animals No animal shall be removed from its place in the show except at the (Reg 42) times stated in the schedule. The decision of the Veterinary Officer shall be final and conclusive. Veterinary Examinations (Reg 45) Exhibitors shall be liable to pay for drugs administered by the Veterinary Officers. Tail Docking – enough of the tail retained to cover the vulva (female) or anus (male). Animals will be inspected either upon arrival or in the lines and sheep failing to comply will not be eligible. (Reg 80) Sheep Orf – animals found to be affected will be disqualified from competition and removed from the show. (Reg 50) Scab - it is recommended that sheep are treated for Scab a fortnight before the Show. (Reg 51) These points are to be read in conjunction with the full Terms & Conditions which can be found on the Show web site on the Competitions Page. 2 ENTRY FEES 2020 Individual £12.00 Groups £12.00 (excluding S103 & S106) Sheep Showmanship Free of Charge Group of Six Free of Charge Stock Exhibitor Vehicle Access to Exhibitor Camping Area £10.00 per pass Camping TICKETS & PASSES 2020 Admits vehicle ONLY. Vehicle Pass Driver and occupants must be in possession of either a wristband or day ticket for admission from Thursday onwards. Tickets & Day tickets or wristbands are only required if exhibitors are not staying on site. Wristbands Additional tickets can be purchased at the reduced exhibitor rate. For all exhibitors staying on the showground other than in Stock Exhibitor Rooms £10.00 per vehicle pass Does not admit the driver who must hold a day ticket or wristband. Tickets/wristbands will be required from Tuesday 12noon (start of Stock Reception). Exhibitors delivering caravans etc prior to Tuesday will have to enter the showground Camping via the Main Gate and a valid Stock Exhibitor Camping pass will be required. Vehicles not displaying a valid Exhibitors’ Camping Area will be directed to the public car parks. Valid admission tickets will be required to gain access from the public car parks into the showground each day. 1 x Free of Charge 2 x wristbands – first entry. Sheep vehicle pass 1 x wristband for each subsequent entry. (excludes driver). Maximum of 4. Any breed able to put forward four exhibitors and a minimum of three entries per class will be split and judged separately. Class S1 RAM 2 shear and upwards. Class S2 SHEARLING RAM Class S3 RAM LAMB Class S4 EWE 2 shear and upwards. Class S5 SHEARLING EWE Class S6 EWE LAMB Class S7 GROUP OF THREE SHEEP One being of the opposite sex to the other two, selected from animals entered in the classes below. Exhibitors may only enter one group per breed, which must be their sole property. The winning group will go forward to represent the breed in the Interbreed Sheep Group Championship. CHAMPION & SPECIAL PRIZES SC1 Male Champion Royal Bath & West Champion Rosette SC2 Female Champion Royal Bath & West Champion Rosette SC3 Champion Any Other Continental Breed Royal Bath & West Champion Rosette and a Prize of £30. Entries will only be accepted from Maedi-Visna Accredited Flocks Class S17 RAM 2 shear and upwards.
