To note: All parents and students are advised to take caution and confi rm the offi cial status of the listed institutions before admission of their children into Nutrition and Dietetic Programme (s). These institutions are now considered to be training illegally under Section 34 of the Nutritionists and dieticians Act, 18, 2007.

STUDENTS INDEXING KNDI’s training regulations and indexing policy require that all nutrition and dietetic students admitted at Certifi cate/Diploma/Degree be indexed at pre-service level within the fi rst month of admission for purposes of professional tracking and conducting business with KNDI. This is a mandatory obligation that is always facilitated by the training institutions admitting such students into their programmes.

For purposes of knowledge and information, KNDI professional indexing fee amounts to Ksh. 10, 000 broken down as follows: i) Professional examination fee (Ksh. 6000) ii) Student indexing card processing (Ksh. 2000) iii) Access to professional documents (Ksh. 2000)

To note: 1) Appropriate Legal action will soon be taken for some Universities and colleges who received the professional indexing money from students but failed to remit collections to KNDI for purposes of completing indexing process. (Students are advised to follow up their payments with such institution and ensure their index forms reach KNDI for processing) 2) All students whose indexing fee reaches KNDI four months after admission shall pay additional penalty of Ksh. 5000 to be indexed. 3) Penalties shall be charged to university accounts for students from institutions that fall in Category (1).

PROFESSIONAL COMPLIANCE All professional whose licenses have expired as per Section 24 (1) are advised to renew by 30th of September, 2017 for purposes of practicing in the year 2017/2018.

All professionals who did not renew their licenses during the fi nancial year 2016/2017 and pervious years have been removed from the register and not allowed to practice until their names are restored as per Section 24 (4). A list of such professionals are attached in the Website: www.kndi.instute and copies dispatched to all employers to effect as per Section 36 (1). Such employers include County Service Board, Public Service Commission, Government Ministries, NGO Board, Companies, Defense Force, Private Hospitals, Specifi c NGOs, regulatory authorities, UN agencies (Kenya Country Offi ces), Training institutions with Nutrition and Dietetics programmes, CBOs and all agencies with employed Nutritionists and Dietiticians.

TIME TABLES FOR PROGRAMMES i) Deadline for Professional Examination applications - 10th October, 2017 ii) Professional Examination Date - 9th November, 2017 iii) Internship application deadline the year 2018 - 8th December, 2017 iv) License Award Ceremony - 15th December, 2017 v) Internship Closure for 2017 (3rd Cohort) - 30th November, 2017
